Not The BBC aren't often given to hyperbole but this heading is definitely one of them. What the article is about is the development of ground drones on a slightly less grand scale than the existing airborne ones, but nothing daunted, they managed to get then go on to describe something that looks like a cake stand.
There are already robotic warriors that make some decisions on their own and they are armed.
