That looks like Shatner's Corvette to the left behind Nimoy.

    For comparison ...

I like Shatner's Vette better. But that bottom image of Nimoy dressed a Spock kneeling in front of his car is begging for a caption.

Logic dictates that four lights will illuminate better than two. And Jim, where will Dr. McCoy fit in your vehicle?

Had some Photoshop fun when the Nimoy pic came up in a caption contest a few years back.

Mr. Nimoy is a sensible family man and thus has a sensible family man's flivver.

Mr. Shatner, although also a family man, clearly was not sensible.

Perhaps this is why Mr. Shatner was divorced a few years later and taken to the cleaners by his sensible wife, thus losing his not-sensible flivver and almost everything else he owned.

The moral of this story: If you are a family man, own a sensible family man's flivver. :p

A flivver (pronounced flivver) according to wikipedia is an "American slang term used during the early part of the 20th century to refer to any small car that gave a rough ride, esp. one that is small, inexpensive, and old."

is that flivver to rhyme with liver? weird word. those cars don't look like they'd be uncomfortable. from the thread name i thought it might be some kind of landspeeder-style vulcan vehicle from a tas episode i missed or something

Critically speaking a three wheel design with one wheel up front and two in the back isn't the most stable thing particularly in corners with any real speed. Now two in the front and one in the back is much more stable and there are such vehicles on the road today.
