Ripley is a little too kick ass for the Barbie collectors demographic. You kind of lose that demo when you point out that the hair needs to be short,, matted down from sweat and possibly blood stained.

That said, Ripley in Cargo Loader would be an AWESOME Hot Toys figure...someone get them on the phone!

Back in the 2000's, i think, some Japanese company made some 4" ALIENS figures that were actually kits you build into action figures. I think they were blind boxed, too. (you don't know what figure you are getting).

They are probably worth $$$$ now.

Amazing!!!! Can you think of the possibilities of a Ripley "Barbie" type doll. Comes with a powerloader, flame thrower and hair that can be shaved off..only to grow back ;-)

I just want her to come with a talk feature. It should say "Nuke em from orbit, its the only way to be sure." and "Get away from her YOU BITCH!"

Anything else is just a bonus

Up until now, I'd never had a ST doll/figurine. The other day, my hubby went out antiquing with my mom and brother and while out, he found me a Data figure. I got off work that night and found it standing on my dashboard waiting for me. I love it to death, so much so that I've turned it into my good ju-ju figure. I carry him around with me everywhere. *lol*

My second San Diego Comic-Con Carbonite Chamber Action Figure Set just shipped. I'm glad the Con had just enough to go around and that people could order or buy more than one. It'll be nice to have two sets of this new wave of figures plus the unique exclusives...it'll save a little time running around looking for them in stores(whenever they even show up).

Where do you order your comic-con exclusives and how do you know what's coming out in advance?

The collector sites preview new product before it's officially released. Lots of photos and details get posted in advance of new items hitting retail, conventions, etc. Most folks who collect the Star Wars line know about new figures, vehicles and other items well in advance thanks to all the ties our community has with Hasbro, online retailers and other dealers both domestic and overseas.

You can order Comic-Con exclusives online through sites like HasbroToyShop.com or, if you feel lucky and don't mind spending a few extra bucks, eBay.

This one didn't turn out quite how I wanted it to, but I still think it works pretty well:

If they ever get around to putting up this year's releases. (Which still haven't been added.) And based on what I've read on collector's sites, I guarantee you that the desirable stuff will be wiped out within an hour of whatever random time the items appear.

I'm still hoping to get a second Derpy to keep MIMB, and it basically entails living in front of the computer 24/7 with HTS.com open in one tab. Bah.

I wonder (maybe i shouldnt) whether there is an equilavent of Cooleddie collecting sex toys. Not to use (of course) but for prosperity-sake. ;-) I mean, one might scoff but such objects from the ancient/classic world take prime place in the British museum and endlessly studied by sociologists/historians.
