So, "Secret Wars" is the conclusion of the Hickman-Avengers Crisis on Multiple Earths storyline? I thought that's what "Time Runs Out" was?

"Time Runs Out" is the grand finale of Hickman's "Avengers" run. This is something entirely different. From the multiple versions of characters I'm guessing this is all out war being the incursion Earths.

Also @CaptainCraig next year is the 30th Anniversary of "Secret Wars" just as DC has something planned to mark Crisis next year this is Marvel's way of honoring their big event.

    Doctor Zero is My FAAAAAAAAAAvourite.

    No shit.

He's this Pompous arrogant shit, and deservedly so because he is the master of the world in every conceivable way. Telepathic Immortal God Emperor of a superpowered uber species, homosuperior by another name, who uses homosapian like a cattle to get shit done. The world still looks like the world. Nothing is different, he's just in charge 60 levels above presidential authority.

    :)

I don't recall why, but Zero needed to pretend to be a superhero to sort something out.

So spindoctors, PR and advertising people design Doctor Zero and he uses it.

(This is where is gets good.)

His main opponent is The smartest human being on he planet, a Nuclear Physicist with no moral centre. Poisoning people with radium, detonating Atomic Bombs when you least expect it. It's quite funny.

(Here's where it gets really, really good.)

After Doctor Zero Wins, he thinks about killing this scientist, but instead brainwashes him telepathically into believing that he is a simpleton working as a short order fry cook at a truckstop.

    :)

    Squeeee!

    The Shadowline books were superb.

I'm not sure who all is reading 'Edge of Spider-Verse" but I just read issue 4 today and holy shit that was creepy.

I liked the idea of seeing what would happen if a kid who grew up in a broken home was given super powers. But I could have done without watching spider's bursting out of Not Mary Jane's face :o

The Forever Permanent Death of Wolverine That Will Stick For All Time #4 of 4:
Wow. That was lame. The entire mini was a waste of time. Obviously the McNiven art was gorgeous but what was the point of it all? Somehow I expected him to have the lamest most disappointing death of all time and I was right! The only thing worse would have been if he just dies of illness or heart attack in a bed or something.

AXIS #2: still enjoying it! reminds me a lot of AVSX and that's a good thing.

Avengers World #14: I was wondering how long this long-form story was going on for, and it turns out 14 issues! It all ended a little abruptly but I did enjoy these past 14 issues. Hopefully the series retains a firm story and identity as it becomes an Axis tie-in...

He sliced open Doctor Cornelius' liquid hot adamantium vat and got covered in it and died as a statue. Seriously.

Have I just been punked in that spoiler?
That sounds like something out of a spoof tale?
Worst "death" ever...seriously, that was their death moment.
    That amounts to
suicide and I don't see that as a trait of Logan, so out of character as well

See it here on the cover of Wolverines #1.

It's like he's frozen in carbonite.

Would that actually kill him? His powers are so OTT now, he can regenerate from a skin flake. He'd just keep coming back and suffocating over and over again.

Yeah, it's been done before, sort of, to the Black Knight.
Black Knight was turned into a stone statue in the early 70s, though he wasn't dead. In the 80s, the Ebony Blade's blood curse turned him into another statue, this time as living, sharp metal.

Also, yeah, Avengers World #14 wrapped things up way too neatly and quickly.

    I'm liking AXIS, too.

even as someone who isn't a fan of Wolverine i thought his death was kinda lame. and i too felt the latest issue of Avengers World had things wrapped up too quickly.

Plus it shows what a complete over reaction it was on Wolverine's part to kill his temporal Doppelgänger in Age of Ultron, all because he had a Highlander flashback.

AXIS #3: well, that was surprising how things were so easily wrapped up like that. This feels just like AVSX where the story appears to be set in distinctive thirds, and the ending threat will have little to do with the beginning.

Havok should have asked Janet to come with him.

You can betray your species for the man you love.

    It's not Hard.

Havok did that for 5 years while the secret police on PLanet X hunted you.

(She's number 3 on my comic book character girlfriend list.

    1. Hawkwoman.
    2. Sue Dibney.
    3. The Wasp.
    4. She Hulk.
    5. Original Batgirl.)

    What a bunch of babies.

Remind me, that's not even the real red Skull?

It's a clone of Johann from WWII, who has nothing to do with anything the "real" Skull has done since 1962.

"This Skull" is getting (thieving) all the respect and street-cred the other Skull has spent 20 years (marvel time?) earning.
