It's 8pm and it's the warmest it's been all day: 9ºF. I don't think we made it into double digits today. In Queens.
Our high today was 7 (but still with a -15 windchill), which is actually a solid 20 degrees warmer than it was yesterday.
15 degrees right now, but the breeze and wind are making it feel much worse. We're supposed to get up to 64 for a daytime high on Sunday. Can't wait.
I feel sorry for you people freezing your asses off. Terrible. I read that it was colder in Chicago than the south pole! I WOULD DIE.
Yeah, it was warmer in Antarctica the other day. But you know what? We deal with winter every year. These temps were certainly colder than what we normally get, but we're so used to this kind of stuff that it really isn't that bad. Today there was a 15 below windchill, and I was out running errands in a light sweatshirt, because compared to the day before, 15 below felt like spring time!
Right now, in Toronto, it's -17C with a windchill of -29C (that's 1F/-20F). It's supposed to go up to 6C (43F) on Saturday. Go home, winter, you're drunk. Yesterday, I saw a flock of Canada Geese flying north - I guess they got confused when their usual southern home froze, and thought it was time to come north again. Earlier tonight, I came across a website with a photo gallery of what Toronto currently looks like: here.
I can see the Canada geese being confused (sometimes right outside my window at work). I'm pretty confused too. We're supposed to get up to 24F today, and a warming trend peaking at 51 on Saturday. I don't trust it.
19 degrees and still close to zero with the windchill. We're going to start warming up fast in the next day or two, but for right now the Polar Vortex is still dragging its icy tail across this area.
It's supposed to be around 30 F or so for the next few days here in ND. I can't wait, it has been so cold here lately.
It's 17F right now, supposed to get up to 32, although the wind chill remains. The cat is confused, because it's quite sunny, but I still won't let her out. If only she'd wear boots...

still much too warm, almost spring-like. Heavy rain in teh morining but now (08:45) the sun is slowly coming out. There must be quite a storm in the upper atmosphere - the clouds race with incredible speed while down here there's not the slightest bit of wind. Forecast says we'll get frost tonight, though, and gradually it'll get colder.
It SNOWED. I knew this January thaw was a lie. And my school hasn't delayed, and I actually have to go in early for a meeting. Grr... Oh, also a flood warning, because snow isn't enough on its own.
