Is it explained why does Tony have a round ARC reactor in stead of the triangular one?

I saw this at a press screening a few days ago and wasn't too impressed by it, which was probably because of the bad 3D conversion. But now that I'm seeing it on my computer screen, I actually think it's pretty awesome!

OMG was that epic. I got goosebumps. "Director Fury, Its time." I loved Hulk saving Iron Man, and I'm really warming up to Ruffalo's Banner.

    Neat trailer...

But ... GEEZ... The black widow looks completely out of place again. I'm fine with her being a supporting character, like any Shield agent. But to see her in the great hero group show/pan-around still looks beyond ridiculous. Heroes with actual useful powers surround her, and she just loads a clip into her tiny handgun. :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

Otherwise the trailer makes it seem like a "Marvel vs Transformers" film. Or are they fighting the same generic aliens from the Battleship film?

Black Widow is one of the most dangerous assassins in the world...and could probably kick the ass of most of her teammates if she really wanted to, except perhaps Hulk and Thor, she'd give Steve a run for his money as well. She isn't out of place at all IMO.

That's fine in the comics. But "ScarJo" does not give any indication that she is playing a character with those abilities.

Naw, she looks great! And she's gonna be kicking some ass, too. SJ was perfect in IM2, and I think she'll be fine in this film.

^ Agreed...and Hyperspace05 I'm talking about the MCU as well. We haven't seen Scarlett much on screen, which is why we haven't seen her dish out those abilities. I fully expect that we'll see that in the film. Another thing I loved was her talk with Clint. The more and more I see of this film, the more I think this is an almost perfect mesh of the Ultimates and 616!

Basically, just her in IM2 taking out a hallway of bad guys while Happy's working on just one of them.

See, for me this was the weakest point of IM2. (and that film had many lows). I just don't see how people can see a not-very-talented actress doing an overly choreographed gymnastics routine, and then come away thinking that Scarlett Johansson can play a character capable of kicking ass.

It just isn't believable to me. It seems like people are just staring themselves blind on some of her attributes - and ignoring her obvious shortcomings.

The most obvious one - lack of any physical presence. Or ability to act like she has any.

Joss Whedon's girl power fascination will make her stand out amongst the boys.

Being a pretty mediocre actress, for one.

Just watched the trailer and it's done nothing to assuage any of my concerns about this movie. The cinematography is terrible -- everything has the same flat lighting, no matter if it's day, night, interior, exterior, whatever, and there's nothing interesting going on with the camera angles. (Which is to say ... it looks like it was directed by a television guy. Imagine that.)

And Cap's headgear looked silly in still images, but it's fucking ridiculous in motion. Good Lord, that's Rubie's Halloween costume levels of goofy.

Where's the story? Where's any sort of depth? Right now, this movie looks like nothing more than Whedon playing with action figures.

^ How many trailers for summer blockbusters show a story or depth? But hey, why let that get in the way of your anti-Whedon rant?!

Whedon's involvement has detracted from my interest in this film from the beginning. Then I had a general burn out on superhero films after the four we got last year. X-Men and Thor were okay, Green Lantern was crap. Captain America was the best of the lot and that's mostly due to the fact that it was a period piece.

Nothing in the trailer has rekindled my interest.
