Note the size comparison of the NX-01 with Zefram Cochrane's Phoenix, Apollo command and lunar modules, a Voyager space probe, a giraffe, a human being and a gazelle.
I just watched the Carrie Fisher tribute video and it wrecked me. So I made her my new desktop. I'm very thankful to follow it up with The Last Jedi teaser.
My currrent wallpaper is the old Windows XP Bliss. Only I'm using Win7, and it's a recent photo of the same place. Apparently it's a vineyard now.
IBM PC-AT x286, Roland MT-32, Monkey Island, Space Quest and Maniac Mansion: $7000. The Back to the Future poster to tie the room together? Priceless. BTW: Those MT-32s are amazing. They're a must have for anyone who's into classic DOS gaming.
I found that out about the Roland, for the first time, a few months ago. I watch a Youtube channel called Lazy Game Reviews, and he tested out a Roland MT-32. I was floored. When I was a kid, I had a Soundblaster Pro in my Laser 386, which I felt was the best of the best (it is still awesome, as far as I'm concerned), but it's no wonder people loved the Roland MT-32.
Holy shit there are some amazing things in the thread. I am on a mission to find a better wallpaper. I feel unworthy.
I took this as a screencap from the Star Trek Voyager 4K HD intro someone made (which you can see here).
