Well last night we did Chicken Breast (cubed) fried in olive oil with chopped garlic/red bell pepper/red onion, a side of garlic mashed potatoes, side of romaine lettuce and a slice of bread. I ate this after my P90X workout. Then I went and helped my buddy drywall his new house for about 5 hours until midnight... this necessitated a not too healthy trip to McD's for a 2-Cheeseburger meal... I'm not proud of myself :(

    But our dinner was delicious!

I spent last weekend re-seasoning my cast-iron pans, so I figured I might as well use them. After all, I had a few New York strip steaks thawed in the fridge.

I prepared a dry-rub by first toasting on the stove some coffee beans and cracked pepper, adding a little bit of salt and cumin, then tossed it all into the food processor to grind it up nicely. Did a nice rub of each side of the steaks to encrust them, and then pan-seared them on one of my cast-irons that had been super-heating on the stove for about a minute on each side, and then threw the cast-iron into my 450-degree oven for about, oh, about three minutes on each side, flipping once.

Served those beautiful medium-rare steaks with baked potatoes and grilled asparagus. Hell yes.

Cereal for dinner? Then again, cereal can be quite nice, actually.

A McDonald's for me last night with some good mates, lol. :)

Turkey sandwich in wholemeal bread with Gorgonzola, tomato, lettuce, honey mustard, and a caramelised onion and fig spread. Not bad at all.

Had this experimental Indian chili that my mom made with naan bread that was great. Tonight we're having brazed beef on rice with broccoli which is one of my brothers favorites.

Last night I had a blueberry yogurt. I splurged a little today, despite it being a diet day (dammit) with an iced mocha from Costco.
