Hunter Pence reminds me a little bit of Gowron in his appearance and mannerisms.

^ There was actually a decent sized crowd for that game.

Well...the Cubs end off with 96 losses, so, 5 games better than last year?

I never expected 20 games over .500 or even near a wildcard, but they were at or around .500 a couple times, playing fairly well.

The fact that they managed to take major dumps each time they got close is what will probably cost Sveum his job tomorrow. He had 'em, then he lost 'em.

My Reds limped to the bitter end with 90/72. Well, there's the one-game playoff in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, but I'm not holding my breath. Saw the Friday night game. Highlight was a drunk a couple seats down from my wife and I heckling Ryan Ludwick for his comments on Cincinnati fans. Well Starling Marte did make a nice diving catch -- gotta give him props for that.

I'm an American league guy and normally don't care about what happens in the NL, but I would love to see the Bucs win this game.

Sooooooooooo long since they've had a meaning ful game at the end of the season.

Cheering for a Cleveland/Pittsburgh World Series here.

I'll tune out easily if it's left the usual suspects.

Tampa Bay won the AL tie breaker. Now it's them against Cleveland for the final wild card.

As a Red Sox fan I'm obviously hoping to see them get to the World Series (part of me would love to see them face off against the Dodgers, just for the lulz). But I'd be totally cool with a Cleveland/Pittsburgh matchup, partly because I think that might be Fox's least-desired one.

I'm rooting for Pittsburgh/Oakland. Oakland is local, and Pittsburgh's story has been the best in Baseball this year.

^ Plus if Oakland wins, they may be able to use the leverage to get out of that shit hole Coliseum* for good.

    *Literally.

Boston vs. LA. Not up for this small market thing when I got no dog in the fight.

Hopefully both they and the Raiders get new stadiums soon. The Raiders' game next week got bumped back to 11:30 PM Eastern because there's an A's game scheduled for the same day and they need time to change the Coliseum over from baseball to football.

I don't understand why the A's and Giants can't work out a deal similar to the one MLB made with the Orioles when the Nationals moved to Washington. I'm sure it's more complicated than it looks to those of us on the outside, but still. I feel bad for the team and their fans that they have to keep dealing with that stadium.

^ They should just get rid of the damn Coliseum and have the Athletics and Raiders build separate stadia on the same site. They've got more than enough room. Only problem is, Lew Wolff (A's owner) doesn't want to stay in Oakland.

Actually, having been there myself, I can see his point, sort of...

    Good game last night.

Made a TON better by the fact that a co-worker of mine was playing the ESPN Streak for the Cash thing, and won 50k by picking Tampa to win :D

I'll turn it off. I'm not a fan of this whole Boston/Yankees centre of the universe thing nor am I a Puig fan.

As a long suffering Jays fan, I'd rather see Pirates/Indians fans be released of their burden.

I'd like to see Tampa finally get it done just because of how much respect I have for Joe Maddon. Braves would be nice for obvious reasons.

Gun to my head says the Cardinals beat the Red Sox in six.
