Are my eyes playing tricks on me, or is this some weird, unique arrowhead insignia she's wearing?

I can't really tell what is going on with that badge.

...but if anybody should have become a regular, it was Marianna Hill as Helen Noel. She could even have replaced McCoy and I'd be fine with it.
Alright...I know she's pretty popular around these parts, but that's just crazy talk.

I can't tell either, but I am a bit distracted: she doesn't exactly look like the happiest crew member we've seen!

And why is it that the rec room never got any of the cool background splashes of colored light we see on other parts of the ship?

You eyes are playing tricks on on you. It's the standard science symbol. Here is a close-up and she looks a little happier here too!

Indeed she does, Feek61

Maybe this is why Star Trek is so interesting, for it seems there always questions and more questions about everything!

For instance, in Feek61's photo, I am again reminded about those ubiquitous coffee cups...
Are they painted styrofoam, with a strip of black border tape around the top edge? That seems like an awful lot of work for a mere cup. And they did it consistently throughout the series, I believe.
Why not just a cup? I don't mean one with 'no coffee, no workee' on it or anything, but just plain, simple, handled cups?

This episode lends itself to use as a drinking game. Every time Lazarus falls, or you see that star cluster photo--take a swig.

The program opened strong. When I heard the term invasion, and Starfleet getting in a huff--that is when the photoshop guys need to break out footage of Star Destroyers, popping into space like the Bozeman did before it hit the Enterprise-D nacelle.

No Jetson saucer please--that should have went to Lost in Space.
