Unfortunately when I saw Leslie Hope as the dead Santa's ex-wife I knew she was the killer otherwise it was a good episode.
^Whereas I was expecting it to be Tembi Locke, since she's a more prominent name in my own experience.
And since I have no idea who those women were, aside from one being vaguely familiar, it was all a surprise.
I really liked this episode too. I'm glad that Castle was so understanding when he revealed to Kate that he knew she had volunteered for the Christmas eve shift. I was half expecting them to have a stupid lover's quarrel over it and I was relieved when the writers didn't go down that road.
I'm glad for another ff guest. I'd love it if they'd get Ron Glass to guest star. Both Castle and Barney Miller take place at the 12th Precinct. maybe he still works there?
Oooh yeah.. awesome! "So.. are you married?" (might be a bit too cruel though given the events in the movie) But i guess there'll be a few references.. can't wait to see them.
Might be cutting it close. Taking the joke too far would be if he died after being impaled by a giant harpoon.
Not to mention the fact that Castle is in a relationship right now so asking if another woman is married might not be the best of ideas
^ True enough. I suppose he could ask it as a slip of the tongue/habit type thing. Wow. I've not been following the ratings for the series at all, let alone for this season, but I didn't expect to see this. http://www.bleedingcool.com/2012/12...d-many-more-surprises-the-week-in-tv-ratings/
Honestly I never thought Castle would make it to five seasons back when the show first got going, so I wouldn't be too upset if this turned out to be the last (disappointed, sure, but not upset). But I get the feeling ABC will probably keep it around for one more year.
After thinking about this a bit, I think I tend to agree. The only real thing left we have is the resolution of the Joanna Beckett murder, which looks like we will revisit again sometime when we're back from winter hiatus.
I guess it depends on how the rest of the season develops.. i doubt it will break down so badly that Castle becomes dead weight.. if the decline is slow enough they might add on a sixth season and use it to wrap everything up beginning with the JB murder case, 3XK and possibly Castle's and Beckett's wedding (and maybe even baby to come). I think it would be a good time and a very good run for a show with a storyline that has to end sometime.
On the plus side, if they do decide to cancel Castle, Fillion will be available to start making new Firefly episodes again.
