It is great to see a physical model coming from a CG build. I am an old-school SF movie fan and while I appreciate and enjoy the 'newer' digital builds (and all the blood, sweat, and tears that involves), I'll never lose my love for seeing light and shadow on a physical model! Cheers! Darrell Curtis (Deep Space from the Deep South) https://deepspacedeepsouth.wordpress.com

    Another Angle.....

That space on the back of the wing where the lower vent is (black lines), has a clear piece of plastic sandwiched between two solid pieces that will allow light to shine when looking from the rear. Tested it and it really does look kewl :) [IMG]

You have asked a question, that a month ago I would have said "it has a spot in my Trek Themed Home Theater" but now.... That is the question of the year, for you see, just last week my wife and I have decided it's time for a move and since we haven't found a new home yet I don't know if I will have room for her. (The shuttle, not my wife lol). If I don't then I really will be open for any and all suggestions on what to do with her. You see my love comes in the build, good or bad and though I had a spot for her, life has other plans. So when I get her done and I will finish her, I will let you know where she ends up.
    God bless,
    Terry

    YES Motors : )
SEE MadMan's 2010 "Early Draft" animation which shows a nice close up pass of the PAE Nacelles Domes here:
    http://www.mediafire.com/file/a4yhc9fcq7k5w2a/PlanetsTest_HD.wmv sound on...

Our Prime Alternative Class-F Shuttle has the same Nacelle Dome Fan-Blade design / function -- but also has Dome Shield Covers which open & close for either Warp and or Planet Landing

Yes, the motors are for the Nacelle blades...I have decided to leave the Lens covers as static(fixed) but closed slightly, yet open enough to see the blades in operation. If the lighting all works out as planned, it should be ALMOST as impressive as the CGI . God willing, of course :techman:

Managed to get a finishing coat of white on the Top Half of the Shuttle last night. This piece is ready to have her decals added. Then her insides need some electrical and detail interior work done. Will start to work on the bottom half and finish the wings when I get back from holidays next week.:p
