Great T'Pol episode. Blalock seems to have settled into the role nicely by this time. Very strong episode.

    The Search for Spock

There's been a thread on this site, reminding us of how strong an entry it is in The Classic Series movies. I'd not seen it in a while and suspected that I might get bored, or not like parts of it, or the usual thing, like that, which sometimes happens with formerly liked films. And you know what? It was really, really good. I'm serious.

There were only a couple of times I jolted out of the movie a bit, and that's when Puppet Spock is just sitting there with his face pulsing, when minutes before, he'd been screaming like a banshee and running around, like a chicken without a head. Now he just sits still and gurgles, because he's a Stan Winston puppet, or whatever.

The other time is when Kruge's on a ledge that gives way and it cracks off and slides down in a most peculiar Ray Harryhaussen kind of way. To their credit, ILM did try to cover that up with a fireball, but ... yeah ... nice try and all that. Otherwise, a superb film. Just beautiful and classically acted. I'm very glad I watched it. TSFS was the last of the "good" TOS movies. They really should've just stopped making anymore, now Spock's alive. But ... OH, WELL!!!

Had TNG, "Emergence," was on H&I last night in the background....If the train's supposed to be the Orient Express, why are the conductor and engineer so American...?

bonus ENT "Zero Hour" Loved the weird bit of T'Pol talking to Porthos at the end.

A plot that is becoming a sci-fi cliché which was done with much less subtlety or emotional impact than Trek's other use of it, Children of Time. It also completely contradicts that episode (the colony disappeared after the original crash is averted, the other Enterprise didn't).

It took Janeway SIX YEARS to finally check on these crewmen? Really? Her crew isn't that big.
    VOY "Live Fast and Prosper"
    Nice scam by the Doctor.
    Three more tonight:
VOY "The Muse" So can we assume Torres just pooped in her pants all of those days she had been tied up?
VOY "Fury" A dumb reason for Kess to return.
VOY "Life Lines" Now this is how you add TNG characters to a different series episode.

    DS9 The Emissary.

I just starting the series over again. Especially with the renewed interest in DS9 with What We Left Behind! Exciting!
