Hi everybody! I've been browsing around here for a while, but finally signed up and figured now was as good a time as any to start posting some of my artwork. I've been working on this Ambassador class ship for a bit over a year now, and though the exterior modeling is about done, I was planning to go back and texture the interior rooms. I'll post some renders of that version when it's done.
Excellent work. Also totally agree about the Ambassador being better than the Galaxy, a far better looking ship
Welcome abord Ryo! She looks a beauty, you know. As I said you over SFM, I just feel the missing of the "lamps" inside the bussards. Oh, and you have a pm there.
Yeah, my ONLY complaints would be the empty look of the Bussard collectors and the blue impulse exhaust. Elsewise this is a great looking build! That top image of the ship from, I'm guessing, the 7:00 position looking up at it slightly; really lends the ship a sense of scale and majesty. This is beautiful! --Alex
Very well done on the 3D mesh here! I think the Ambassador originally had a red impulse engine, though; that aside, you've done a great job! Keep it up!
Great job on the renders... One thing that they make me feel is that the Ambassador design would be better suited to angled pylons as opposed to proto-TNG ones. Something to raise the nacelles a bit higher and, at the same time, create an opposing line on the ship. Rob+
The Enterprise-C, the first appearance of the Ambassador class ship, consistently had a blue impulse engine. http://tng.trekcore.com/gallery/albums/s3/3x15/yent036.jpg This is a beautiful model! I guess she was named after an ancestor of the Admiral Nakamura we saw. He'd have been a baby when this one was commissioned... Mark
That is some excellent modeling work. If you have a gallery where we can see any other work you have done, I'd suggest you post the link. My only gripe is the apparent lack of aft launchers. OTH, I do like how you added aft phasers like those depicted in Gustavo's Enterprise-C schematics.
