It was mentioned that Gene Lyons was in an episode of THE FUGITIVE, and it was guessed that the episode was "Man In A Chariot."

That is correct, but that episode actually contains a trio of Trek guest stars as pictured:

Peter Duryea, who played Jose Tyler in the Pike-commanded STAR TREK pilot:

Stewart Moss, who played both Tormolen and Hanar:

and the aforementioned Gene Lyons, Ambassador Fox:

^And the old guy next to Duryea is Ed Begley, Sr. Who was in 12 Angry Men with John Fiedler.

That was a great FUGITIVE episode.

Speaking of Ed Begley Sr., was he ever in a TOS episode, even in the background, or was I really mistaking Hagan Beggs' name for his all these years like I thought?

Nope, the only Ed Begley in Trek was Junior in "Future's End."

I hope someday I'll figure out why I made that mistake.

The films rather than the series, but I was surprised when I finished season 1 of Knight Rider today to find Robin Curtis in a pre-Saavik role.

I don't rag on Curtis as much as many do (even if I do firmly think Alley was the better Saavik), but this was presumably a very early role for her as her performance was the first in the season to make David Hasselhoff look like an actor in comparison.

While I still prefer Kirstie over Robin, as Saviik, I discovered that Robin is an absolute sweetheart at a small convention I attended a few years after the film came out. Any irrational animosity I felt toward her because "she wasn't Kirstie" totally dissipated.

William Campbell's coolness factor is higher than I thought...he was in Love Me Tender in 1956, when Elvis was the coolest thing on the planet.

A season 7 Mannix jackpot - Mannix is hired by Surak, to find a briefcase stolen by Cloud William and fenced by Ambassador Petrie!

Were you shocked to hear Cloud William's real voice? Not quite the deep, somber tones we heard on Star Trek, was it?

Not shocked, 'cause I've seen him as a baddy in a bunch of 60s & 70s shows since.

Being relief pilot to John Wayne and Robert Stack was pretty cool, too.

    Oh, that's great!

Like here, Jenson, with a mustache, makes the standard bad guy muscle move of ambushing Jim Rockford at his trailer. He doesn't look as big as he usually does next to James Garner.

You have to wonder why Rockford didn't move the trailer more often to avoid various bad guys. I mean, it's a mobile home. Although I do remember one episode where he took it out to the woods to hide out from someone.
