I wonder if they'll re-image Jarvis using Meghan Fox? She can bend from the waist when she serves tea and strike a blow for feminism.

Why on Earth would they do that in a Joss Whedon movie ?

Joss has struck enough blows (usually over the head with a saucepan - see Anya the Man Hating Demon, Buffy the Vampire Slayer season seven, Dollhouse, River Tam and so on) for feminism in his time. I don't think we need to waste any more time on that subject in this movie.

Hmm... true. Rosie O'Donnell then? Ooh ooh - Whoopi Goldberg! She'd be great as Jarvis.

Or, we could just stick with Paul Bettany as the movies have already established ?

Whoops did I blink and miss him? Was he the chauffeur or something? Paul Bettany seems a bit young but then it makes more sense that Jarvis is a retired spook than just a bloke who serves tea to superheroes I suppose.

Shame, Whoopi could tapped that Benson vibe from Soap. Waltz, deliver tea, make a crack about Dr Doom, prove herself to be intellectually superior to these idiot super heroes, and waltz out again. Benson was coool.

Bettany will have to do. He's no John Steed but at least he's British!

^Paul Bettany provided the voice of Jarvis (or, more accurately J.A.R.V.I.S. - Stark's AI home automation system that also runs his armour) in Iron Man and Iron Man 2.

Aaahh! It's my age, I forget little details like that easily. So Whoopi can still be a J.A.R.V.I.S avatar? Everybody's happy!

Well, apart from the fact that if I see Whoopi Goldberg in this movie I'll walk out and ask for my money back, sure.

    You steal my sunshine... :(

What about Ann Heche for the Wasp? She's zippy with quickfire dialogue.

I rather like Ann Heche :scream: She's got pretty good comic timing and the Wasp always struck me as having a motormouth. I think she's of comparable age to Nathan Fillion, Downey Jr, and Paltrow isn't she? Is she hated in Hollywood or do people think the Wasp is likely to be cast as a real youngster? I admit, I never saw the Wasp as a young un, I always thought of her as more mature, of comparable age to her husband, who as an experienced scientist, doesn't really fit a very young man.

Will Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman be in this movie, too?

Actually, after CLASH OF THE TITANS, Fiennes might as well take hammy roles. And Uma as the Enchantress...

Hopefully Joel Schumaker will be kept away from the Marvel franchise!

Brief Q&A with Mark Ruffalo on his initial thoughts about taking over the role of Banner/Hulk from Comic Con.

Shooting is tenative but may start around Jan/Feb 2011.
Time to have a teaser trailer ready for the release of Captain America maybe?

IIRC Jan was pretty young, possibly just out of college. While Hank was an older well established scientist and a widower.

May have started out that way, but I think the Wasp everyone likes is a tad older, not just barely over the jailbait stage. Unless they go the Ultimates route again and just make her a child genius. Joss would love that.
