The roster for Avengers Now does look really fun, though there seems to be a unusual amount of redundancy. Falcon America and Winter Soldier. Angela and Lady Thor. Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch. Even two Inhumans. Not at all bad. Just strange.

Am I right in thinking Scarlet Witch is currently dead?

Not that that's ever stopped a character from showing up :p

    Yes, the Witch Died.

An issue later the Earth was destroyed by Celestials.

And issue later it's 5 years down the road where Havok and the wasp have a little girl.

2 issues later they're going back in time to save Wanda and save the Earth.

Wanda is alive "currently" and has not been murdered because time has been rewritten.

This multipart story has not yet finished.

There is a strong chance that on the other end of this story that there is going to be a 6 year old little girl carrying the Summers bloodline into the next generation.

(Although theoretically, if Chris fires one potent load into Hepzibah (Doesn't that sound an awful lot like an urban slang abbreviation for hepatitis B?), she will have a litter of kittens.)

The entire "Avenge the Earth" storyline is obviously never going to have happened. They blew up the Earth in it :p

Well that's already happened... Earth is back, but the Unity team, I think they're all keeping the memoires they made in that timeline.

Fortunately I don't think that that involves Steve Rogers who is still recovering from 10 years in Dimension Z.

You've read the comic and didn't laugh, or you've read the comic and didn't stop laughing, or you haven't read the comic?

    :)

Sunspot: "You gotta say it, if you want to send on a secret mission to the future, you have to say the words with some conviction or we won't go".

Maria Hill: "You and Jennifer turn out fine, but it's your kids Marty, some thing's gotta be done about your kids!"

Do you think Cobie Smulders is on a comp list that she's sent anything and everything that has Maria in it?

And do you think she's annoyed that Maria doesn't look more like her?

Maybe she could volunteer to model for some of the artists in full costume?

There are stories where I hoped this was the case, and stories where it might be a kindness to spare her knowing they'd been published.

I do wonder if she suspects the writers are running her character's comics counterpart ragged at the moment.

Amazing Spider-Man #4: a major new character introduction and a major new story and I found both to be quite fascinating! I can't wait to see more!

I was wondering what Sunspot and Maria hooking up would look like in the movie universe... refresh my memory IMDB, what sort of coco lovely Brazillian did they get to play Sunspot under all those cgi effect in Days of Future past...

    It's a white guy?

A very pretty white guy, maybe a little latin, but not half black, so I'm surprised no one got their panties in a mess over this?

    Top Five Current Marvel Comics?

    1. Hickman's Avengers franchise (Avengers, Avengers World, New Avengers): while I'm seriously getting sick of the crisis on multiple earths schtick, it's still the premiere Marvel title(s).
    2. Original Sin: yeah it's a disappointment but nothing more thrilling than the big crossover
    3. Amazing Spider-Man: I loved the whole Doc-Ock story and so far the Peter returns stuff is almost as thrilling.
    4. Uncanny Avengers: a very exciting book, but serious demerits for spending a year on a what if story that never happened.
    5. Bendis' X-Men Franchise (Uncanny, All New): decompressed as hell but fun

Mark Waid to write a new SHIELD ongoing series, starting in December (Hopefully Hickman's series will finally be finished by then), starring Coulson and others, and featuring the 616 debuts of characters like Fitz, Simmons and May from the tv show.
