    I said out, dammit!
There don't seem to be as many Trek guest stars on Mod Squad as there were on It Takes a Thief. :(
(on the other hand, 1970 Margot Kidder played Pete's ex GF on the ep I just watched. What a doll).

Turned on the telvision this morning and there was DeForest Kelly playing a 'good old country doctor' on an episode of Laredo.
If it wasn't for the fact that the series were separated by 400 years he could have been playing a prototypical Dr. McCoy.

Almost forgot to mention that in that particular episode, Lt Rice (Gary Lockwood) has to go back to his home town to bury a fellow Marine, and almost immediately meets a girl he sort of knew in high school - played by a blond tinted Sherry Jackson - WOWZA, even in typical 1963/4 dress and hairstyles, she's stunning!

I stumbled across an amusing coincidence last night. Paul Fix and Paul Carr both guest-starred on the third episode of The Time Tunnel...which originally aired the night after the original airing of "Where No Man Has Gone Before."

The End of The World was the second produced episode of Time Tunnel (like WNMHGB was for Trek) but it was screened third in order! Paul Fix and Paul Carr sound like a sci-fi comedy team don't they!

Only the second produced? How odd. As I was just saying in the other thread, there was a line about how many times the team at the project had risked their lives, which is a strange thing to say in just the second episode.

Sam Groom makes the first of a handful of appearances here as Jerry too! Maybe it was going to be a series that could be showed in any order but later they decided to make it more serialised with the coming next week endings!

But it was screened third, Christopher! Not a great difference in the history of the show but there you go!

Was that the episode with people buried in a mine and a comet threatening to crash on Earth? I've seen rerurns of that series years ago and my memory of it is a little fuzzy.

Yes it sure was, locutus! Set in 1910 it tells the story of a time when people really believed the comet was going to hit the earth and kill everyone! Even Doug Philips has to agree mathematically when he visits the expert who is spreading the rumour! Trouble is we never get the explanation as to what the mysterious force is that will draw the comet off at the last moment unless it's meant to be the tunnel itself!
