Now that they are making all the money in the universe, which characters will get movies (that are not yet announced)? Kevin Feige has mentioned three of my all-time favorites, all in one breath: :D

I'm pleasantly surprised to see The Inhumans in that list. I'd been wondering if they were too obscure. Other than Matthew Fox, who is undeniably Black Bolt, any notions about casting?

Throwing the Kirby estate some cash would be a nice first step.

At work last week my colleagues and I were kicking around the idea of Fox doing their Fantastic Four reboot as a spin-off of the X-Men films. Basically, create their own consistent Marvel movieverse with the properties they have. (We couldn't come up with any good way of fitting Daredevil into the world, though.) What if the Fantastic Four could battle Magneto? What if the X-Men had to battle Dr. Doom or Galactus? There are some interesting possibilities there.

Yeah I want to see them integrate FF and X-Men into their existing Marvel megaverse...

Now that they're making big boy money, dya think they could afford Johnny Depp as Dr. Strange? (Tim Burton is NOT part of the package. :rommie:) Or shall we stick with Bradley Cooper, with Patrick Dempsey as the dark horse candidate?

there's been rumours for a while that Doctor Strange is on their list for an upcoming movie... that could definitely be interesting...

Ms Marvel is one i'd love to see them do, as long as it was done right...

Blade is another i'd love to see brought into this overall universe... Wesley Snipes did a hell of a job with the character, so bringing him in for a few bouts would be awesome :D

Personally I have very little interest in seeing Dr Strange or Inhumans or Guardians of the Galaxy... I consider those very C list...

In the lap of squalor I assure you.
Strange was supposed to be an asshole doctor who was handicapped and then went on a spiritual quest to get his hedonistic life back... Y'know to trick god into becoming his pez dispenser for wishes.

Hugh Fucking Laurie has been playing the first half of the Doctor Strange mythos for the last 8 years!

I can imagine the first scene.

Strange licks the shit of the back of a toad, from anus to chin with slobber everywhere, to get high enough to do magic... He says "Here, your turn"

Steve rubs the toads back on the camera.

    Squishes it right in.

Jucing psychodellics all over the lense.

    Then explains.

"I'm the Sorcerer Supreme, of course I can bloody see you."

Well, obviously next for Marvel are sequels for Iron Man, Thor and Captain America and maybe another Hulk movie considering the reaction this Hulk is getting and certainly an Avengers 2 is down the road, as is a Black Widow movie.

The thing is if they do an Avengers 2 they might also want to do set-up movies for more Marvel characters and it'd be a matter of finding the right characters who'd translate to the big screen. Which means Ant Man is still going to be sitting by his princess phone in his pajamas just waiting for that call.

    That's my vote, right there.

Second, if we're dreaming, would be a Quentin Tarantino "Power Man and Iron Fist."

Beyond that, the problem is that Fox and Sony have the rest of Marvel's "big guns" tied up: FF (and the Silver Surfer) X-men, Daredevil, Spidey.

Great. Two hours of the 'blue steel' face. Pass. Let me know when they put her in the porn parody.

    Ah, screw them. Seriously.

Unlike Siegel and Shuster, who were basically a couple of kids with no business savvy, Jack Kirby was a middle aged man with a twenty year career in comics when he went to work for hire at Marvel. He knew exactly what his contract terms were, having worked in the industry for his entire adult life at that point. Furthermore, he took no financial risk of his own in doing so (he got paid whether a book sold or bombed, unlike the publisher who took the actual risk) and he was more than willing to jump from company to company (Timely, Fawcett, DC, Harvey, Atlas, DC, Marvel) , depending on who offered him the best deal at the time. So you can't even factor in a "loyalty" argument. In fact, at one point in the 50s, he and Simon started their own company, which is further evidence that man was no babe in the woods who didn't realize what rights he was signing away.

Furthermore, when Joe Simon was in litigation with Marvel over Captain America in the late sixties, Kirby took Marvel's side.

Finally, even if Kirby deserved more remuneration for the characters, that doesn't mean his kids, who had nothing to do with his work, do.

I dunno, I think a movie with ScarJo's Black Widow in it would be good, I thought she was good in the movie and had many great moments. The "blue steel" could be part of her character's persona there were a lot of moments with some good emotions and facial performance. (See her introductory scene with her "captors.")

Well if we get that Hulk movie then She-Hulk is a natural spin off.
Iron Fist has potential but has no real rogues gallery to rely on. Same goes for Power Man. Random ninja/hand/street level bad guys wont cut it.
Antman could be strong if they give Hank Pym the psychological treatment which could also give us the Wasp and Ultron and ultimately the Vision.

I'd rather see a Luke Cage/Iron Fist TV series. Maybe they can be part of that Jessica Jones TV show that ABC's been working on.

I'd like to see the second 2014 movie be Ant-Man (finally), introducing Hank and Jan and laying the foundation for Ultron to be a villain in The Avengers 2 (I'd save You-Know-Who for the third movie).

I don't think that's the objective of the Ant Man movie, if Edgar Wright has his way. Ant Man will be pretty offbeat much as Scotty Pilgrim and Shaun of the Dead were.

True, but he was discussing those plans as recently as last summer.
