What Enterprise Do You Prefer? NuENterprise NCC 1701 or TOS NCC 1701

I only choose the two ships from early on in the crews voyages because I wanted to stick to the earliest versions the crews used and NuTrek only has one version so far. This thread should be fun.

I love them both, and think the designs are elegant, but if I had to choose, I'd have to pick the new Enterprise.

This poll won't prove anything, but I voted for the original. If the refit had been one of the choices it would have been more difficult.

Still, the new design is a good looking ship and I like it too.

Im not trying to prove anything beyond that either ship is futuristic enough for a diverse amount of fans to like one or the other. I even get why people like the NuEnterprise. It has a modern design via apple. I was a apple fan since the beginning so I get why people like NuEnterprise. I just have a fondness for the original and like the clean look of it both outside and in.

Can I choose both?

I wouldn't change the TOS Enterprise, it fits the show, the time it was made in, etc.

But, I certainly wouldn't make a new Big Budget movie and redo it like.

I love the new bridge, even if I wish the lensflares on the bridge in the first movie could be toned down, as they made it hard for me to appreciate the bridge (The Second movie, the lens flares were fine, as they cut back on it in the stark white)

I posted a poll here well aware that the TOS would most likely not get many votes because there are a lot of new fans here. The point of the post is to show that some do still like the TOS version even some of the newer fans.

The producers even mentioned that they got inspiration from apple product/stores for some of the designs when the movie came out. Most futuristic movies now have some apple styles incorporated into their tech.

As of this post, TOS is winning. A lot New fans are TOS fans.

Only 8 people have voted. Not much to go on.

The joke I probably made was that I didn't like that they modeled the ship after apple. While I like apple(APple IIC was my first computer) I wish they would have made something a bit more original. In 200 years I doubt our tech will still look like apple.

Dude, the Apple Store jokes started with the first stills released for the film way back in 09. That and the Hostess station. We had a field day with them here. My first computer was a Mac Plus but I haven't owned on since. My wife has an iPad, but it doesn't look like a prop from Star trek any more than my Kindle does. I see ipods and other Apple products all day long. Other than many of them being white, I'm not seeing the connection.

I choose the TOS Enterprise.

It's hard to vote against one's first love. Then there's the whole face that I've been exposed to one for nearly forty years.

Yeah I like the TMP refit myself. I wanted to limit it to the earliest enterprises from the early Kirk eras. I also have a fondness for the TNGs Enterprise D and prefer it over Enterprise E by a longshot. I just didn't want to muddle to many ships from different eras together.

I don't have a preference. I like both. I'm being oppressed because there's not a third option on the poll. I demand that this thread be closed and four new ones each with a separate slightly differently worded poll asking me to choose between some trivial aspect of oldTrek and nuTrek be posted immediately.
