Yeah. I have a flatscreen, but with my eyesight, it doesn't matter. My best friend showed me his TNG Blue Rays (He has a similar flatscreen), and I honestly could see no difference between those, and my DVD's.
You couldn't tell the difference between the colors? That was the first thing I noticed when putting in "Encounter at Farpoint" off the sampler. Very, very noticeable difference.
I noticed the sharpness first, then the depth of the colors. But, I was comparing them to VHS copies, not DVD. If I owned TNG seasons on DVD, I doubt that I would want to upgrade to Bluray as I don't see enough difference to justify double dipping.
There are tube-ish CRT televisions that are also HD, but I wouldn't want to have one - you'd risk a hernia just by lifting the damn things.
Yesterday, I went to the outlet mall with two friends. I got two Frozen dolls for my youngest niece, a Waterford ornament for my Mom, and some undies and PJ from Jockey for me. It was a very fun, but extremely exhausting day.
Grand Theft Auto V (for me), Dragon Age: Inquisition (the wife) and Little Big Planet 3 (youngest son for Christmas). All for the PS4. I think we're a gaming family?
