Always fun to see these ''where are they now''-type cast photos, especially the navigator who looked so boyish in the film, but is much different now... You guys deserved this moment in the spotlight... So, what about the rest of us? will we ever see the documentary?
The subject of documentary came up in the Q&A, and Jimm said his primary focus was to get the DVDs of it made for the contributors, for whom it was promised, and then he would think about how he might make it viewable to others. EDIT: Jimm suggested the doc should be amended with a section about the VFX work, which I will be filming and sending to Joel ASAP.
Jimm Johnson called me last month. He and Joel Sarchet are finishing it up. He did ask me to produce a final segment for it about post-production, which I'm trying to make time for this month. It'll show off how the VFX were done and also talk about the editorial tricks I've talked about in the "The Completion of a Fanfilm" topic.
Ok to be fair.... I think I donated, but it was a loooonnng time ago. And if I did not donate, can I donate now???
If you donated your name should be in the end credits of the video, unless you specifically asked not to be named.
Heh, my name's on the end credits, but it's still has the last letter of my first name dropped off like my old credit cards used to.
Awesome news! I hope we'll have an opportunity to update our mailing addresses. I've moved three times since 2006.
I'll suggest to Jimm that they establish a donors contact page to verify current addresses. It should be easy enough to verify that people are who they say they are since he has records of who donated how much and where they lived at the time they donated.
Oh poop. I donated way back in 2004 but my name definitely wasn't on the end credits. I figured that it was just because it had been so long ago and only more recent donors were listed... now i'm thinking maybe the record of my donation was lost. Poop and double poop.
I believe there will be an "update address" contact set up soon, and you;ll be able to contact them about it and get it straightened out.
