I would have preferred them pairing up her and the doctor, but he blew his chance after publicly confessing his love for her.

Seven and Harry-- every night they could have re-enacted that scene from American Pie:

Seven: What's my designation? Say my designation, bitch!

Why did they pair up Seven and Chakotay in season 7? By the end of the run they were running out of ideas and they had to pair her up with -someone- right? Personally I think that cheapens the character that they -have- to pair her up with someone to supposedly complete her arc, but what do I know?

I thought she'd made it abundantly clear before then that she didn't return his feelings.

Just because a man loves a woman (and vice versa) doesn't mean she's gonna love him back.

Yeah, I liked the idea of the Doctor hooking up with Seven too, but it made complete sense that she didn't feel the same way. All things considered she let him down as easy as she could too.

But Seven and Chakotay? Ugh... that makes zero sense. They should've just left that alone. Really. Though that was hardly the worst thing with Endgame.

Loving feelings inside Seven would have killed her because of that Borg implant.

The Doctor asked her on a date because she was removing the implant because of Chakotay.

That lightbulb must have been afraid of killing this drone with his sexiness up to that point.

Chakotay obviously didn't give a shit, or forgot about her terminal limitations.

There was no need to pair Seven up with anyone. She worked better single anyway.

Being part of a collective is what defines this woman.

Single loneliness must have been killing her.

Auxum should have come back and swept her away.

Hate and spite will keep you alive.

    Make a list.

    Then pee on some graves.

Don't we all? Thing is, that woman can become your loyal friend--and that might be the best of all worlds....

I haven't seen it, because I'm not a fan of romance movies or Billy Crystal. But give me Bette Davis as some evil insane old broad and I'm there.

    In the beginning...

At the end of the movie ten years later (movie time), Harry came to think that it was great that he was in love with his friend.

(The actual quote I found online surprised me, which was a little different from what I had in my head, which failed to address all the points I was trying to make as squarely as I had hopped.

    Stupid brain.)

I watched 4 seasons of Soap recently.

    Young Billy Crystal was hilarious.

Although by the early 80s, George Burns was making Billy look youthful and optimistic.

Agreed. It's a classic whether you like those kinds of movies or not. :borg:

To be honest, my aversion to romance movies is I've not been in love since a divorce 35 years ago. I miss it, but I don't want a film reminding me of it.

No romance movie ever reminded me of being in love. If I have to watch them I'm usually thinking the are doomed idiots.

Really? After my most traumatic breakup which I'll never really want to recover from, I didn't want to watch monster/slasher pics anymore.

We must be into very different women.

Have you seen "I give it a year"?

    At the end...

"Will you make me the happiest man in the world, will you divorce me?"

"Yes, yes, yes! How did you know that that was exactly what I wanted! You made me the happiest woman in the world! Thank you!"

The first film I saw during the separation was Animal House when some friends dragged me to it, and it was the first time I'd laughed in weeks. I should have been content with that. But after it was final, I went alone to see Burt Reynolds' Starting Over, which was a big mistake because I was still hurting. I had a few relationships afterwards, but none developed into anything. The last one was in 1998. I have no car, no money, am mostly homebound, can never work again due to health problems, and there's nothing I can provide for anyone.
