Indie Amphoe Mae La Noi releases her latest foray into minimalist techno-prog:

Preliminary reviews suggest an innovative technical triumph of algorithmic-derived existential howls.

Well, since the last one anyway. Which was a year and a half ago. ;)

For now, here's rock outfit Rookie of the Year with their power ballad album from 1988:

"...When we first picked up amphone mae la noi's latest off the shelf at IKEA we didn't know what to expect, but before we knew it, opinions that we loathe had taken over our home and our soul with it's algorithmic penetration. it feeds your superego and leaves a pleasant aftertaste, no assembly required..." -Rolling Stone

Perhaps with some politics mixed in too.

I think this could aslo be used as a TrekBBS: Name/Avatar/Signature generator.

    That would be crazy.

We did this a couple of months ago on Facebook. It was a lot of fun, so much so I ended up doing several. A couple of these are from Facebook and two are new ones I did today.

    Here's one:

The band is "The Gamekillers" (some sort of MTV Special from 2006), the album is "To Be Kept Alive..." (part of a quote from Thomas Jefferson) and a picture called "Asy-Syakirin" by aqiera.

    Here's another:

The band is "Radio Trijaya” (an Indonisian Rock Network), the album is "simplicity might suggest" (part of a quote from Thomas Moore) and a picture called "the iris" by kasiakrz.

    And another:

The band is "Nya Doxa” (a Swedish Book Publisher), the album is "would be dead" (part of a quote from Johnny Carson) and a picture called "The Mountain” by HawkeyePilot.

    And yet another:

The band is "Public Telephone” (a 1980 French documentary film directed by Jean-Marie Périer), the album is "…man with a past" (part of a quote from Evan Esar) and a picture called "We are catching the sun today” by codysmithphotos.

    And one more:

The band is "Organic Brain Syndrome” (a term referring to physical disorders that impede normal brain function), the album is “Day For Your Return" (part of a quote from John Grogan from his book Marley and Me) and a picture called "Greetings From London” by Chris Halford.

(I have to give credit for each part’s origin. I think it makes each one a little more awesome.)
