I think my favorite part was Gannicus' imagining being in the arena at the end. I loved the visual and you couldn't help but feel a little relief for the guy at that point.

 

The biggest surprise of the finale for me was who ended up being crucified beside Gannicus.

 

Fantastic ending to a great show. The end credits were especially touching, showing the full cast during the course of the series, including the original Spartacus actor. I'm going to miss it. I'm going to give the new Caesar spinoff show a shot, but I somehow don't think it's going to be as good.

 

Wait, there is now a Caesar spinoff show coming? Thought that was just rumor?

 

Not really sure, to be bonest. Heard about it here several times.

 

See the DeNight interview posted above, there's nothing firm about the spinoff.

 

they could do one on Ceaser's adventure in Gaul. that lasted about 10 years I believe and the Gauls had many a hero fighting against Rome

 

There was really nothing I liked about the Caesar of this show, so... nah.

 

If anything, MAYBE I'd watch a story about the 5 years Gannicus was gone from the Ludus but no way would I watch anything where this Caesar or Crassus were the central characters.

 

I've already seen that little shit Cesar die horribly on Rome but I would definitely watch a miniseries depicting Crassus' Parthian campaign complete with his gruesome death.
