    The game does look really nice... the environments looks great and exotic, but I just cannot bring myself to like ANY of the Federation ship designs in the whole game... to me, they're just uber-fugly mish-mashes of various era's design elements. I'm sorry... the game looks great, but IMO, the Fed ships all look arse-ugly.

    Huh?
    Most of them are canon designs.

    Yep. 90% of them are canon designs. You just have the option of customizing them. I could have had a Miranda class light cruiser. I could have had a Constitution class, and so on. You just have the option of switching out parts and customizing designs and colors.

    I noticed that the TOS uniforms for women seem to have the Mirror Universe boots instead of the standard boots.
    Also they still need to adjust the tops for the female uniforms.:cool:
    And is your security officer named Jayne Cobb by any chance?:)

    Hey Timofnine, when you get around to facing off against the Crystalline Entity bring a BIG fleet because you're going to need it.

    Is that thing really that hard now? Back when I did it, the entity didn't survive more than 5 seconds...

    Yeah, but they found ways to make them so goddamn fugly... they darkened the colors, added absolutely godawful striping to the Galaxy-Class, gave red and blue engine lights to ships that never had them, like the TOS Connie, and some of the other ships just look plain awful.

    Look, I'm sorry... as i said, the environments looks awesome, the uniforms are cool, and the aliens look great. I'm not slamming the play of the game. I'm just saying that for ME, the Fed ships look way too dark and just plain ugly in this game.

    It's the players who choose hull material, -painting and so on. If you prefer it, you can still go with the standard white hull look and don't put any stripes on the ship.

    @Hartzilla:
    I guess, back when I did it, the entity was just ridiculously easy. They've buffed the thing quite a bit in the meantime, it seems.
