It's about time those four booster engines became something other than placeholders. Here's about a day's worth of work on the Cintiq tablet, not quite finished but far enough along that I can proceed with adding it to the 3D model.
Which Wacom tablet do you use? Pretty freakin' awesome. EDIT: Nevermind. I read your later comment about the Cintiq.
Been plugging away on Polaris. Should have lots of new progress to show over the next few days, starting with this: Those booster engines were all kinds of fun to model. Actually, they really were. I had to get pretty creative to figure out the best way to do them. More soon.
Raising the bar again eh, Sir Vektor?? Not that there's anything wrong with that!! Damn bloody gorgeous -- wish I had even a hint of your talent. Cheers, -CM-
Vektor, I have been keeping tabs on your progress with this from day one. Even though I haven't posted many comments in this thread. I am just in awe of your talents! This design is just a beautifully flowing and really functionally designed spacecraft! I am truly impressed with your skills and thought and attention to the minute of details of this spaceship design. Really a beautiful ship!!!!
Just because I thought it made such a cool image: And yes, I know the copyright is out of date again.
God allmighty, Vektor. That's incredible looking! I simply can't tell you how impressive the overall appearance and polish is.
It is a great angle for this shape. I think I posted this at some point early in this thread: http://www.venardhi.com/sketches/shipandplanet.mov
Polaris's front view, at that jaunty angle, would make a pretty wicked uniform patch, or some kind of logo.
Although I rarely comment on general accolades and complements, I want everyone to know I do read them and bask in their warm glow like any other artist type desperate for attention. Rest assured, the sentiment is appreciated. That's not too far from what I had in mind. I am actually picturing the pods hanging from a swing-arm assembly that rotates them from their stowed positions on either side out through the doorway into launch position. Had no idea what you were referring to until I looked it up. Interesting observation. Well, Polaris already has a logo/mission patch, sort of a stylized galaxy spiral. I get what you mean, though.
