An interesting article on the tangled mess that seems to be keeping Trek off the small screen: http://www.forbes.com/sites/davegonzales/2015/06/30/why-isnt-there-any-star-trek-on-television/
Just a regurgitation of other articles. If CBS didn't have the rights to Trek, why have they been taking pitches over the last several years?
Honestly, I would expect much more from Forbes of all places. The most detailed bit there is about TNG, a show that's been off the air for 20 years! If they could have brought that degree of focus to what's happening now, it would have been something. Instead, all they have to say about the here and now is basically that there are assurances that people are working on trying to bring ST back to TV, based on a secondary quote.
Sorry, completely off topic but Chrome seems to think this page is in German and wants to know if I'd like it translating...
Could be you've hit a German based server somewhere along the way to connecting here? I'm not seeing anything like that here in Northern Kentucky (USA). +1
You've never heard Forbes until you've heard it in the orginal German Perhaps the German article has more nuance to it. Loses so much in translations
Though it was actually this thread that gave me that, not the article. It isn't doing it now - I suspect a German ad might have come up last time... though it did do it twice...
Those Germans are ALWAYS trying to overthrow the Vatican. What ever has the Vatican done to them, I wonder?
