T'Pol: "Perhaps you would like to go to your quarters and lie down?"

Hoshi gives her the kind of look that a comment like that deserves...

 

Hoshi: "Pon farr marran."

 

T'Pol: "I was instructed to speak English during this voyage and I'd appreciate it if you'd respect that."

 

Archer: "It's easy to get a little jumpy when you're traveling at 30000000 km/s. Should be old habit in a week's time."

(Communicator beep)

Archer: "Archer"

 

"This is Doctor Phlox, Captain. Our patient is regaining consciousness."

 

Archer: "On my way... Hoshi?"

 

We're in sickbay and there's a Klingon shouting...



Klaang: "Tongue-gargh-ha!

TONGUE-GARGH-HA!"

 

Archer: "What's wrong?"

 

Hoshi: "The translator's not locking onto his dialect... the syntax won't align."

 

Klaang: "Doh doh doh!"

 

^ Sorry, I'm just picturing Homer Simpson making a cameo on ENT.

I was thinking, maybe we could bend the rules a bit with this 'Line-by-Line' business, especially when it comes to alien languages. I have a hard enough time with English...

Hoshi: "Tungan, HOEK djoe!"

 

Klaang continues making random noises.

Hoshi: "He wants to know who we are."

Archer gives his reply with a facial expression... along the lines of 'Well, go on.'

 

Hoshi: Blu Jah Enterprise glup no.

(I'm not writing anywhere near exact language in that one)

 

Klaang: "N'atilla la hun"

or whatever...

 

Hoshi: Lupnom. Ship. He's asking for his ship back.

 

Archer: "Say it was destroyed."



When in actuality, it's probably being picked apart by Section 31 *
