After a very crappy week, we were able to get out of town and have some fun. My wife and I, with our good friends, at the U2 show in San Jose.
Looks like you had a good time! My niece and her husband got to go backstage with Bono and the Edge when U2 played Houston a few years ago. They said the show was impressive.
A friend was playing around with her fancy new camera... something like: sit still!... Hold this!... Take of your shirt!... As she had no way of uploading from the camera on the spot she also snapped this with her crappy old phone: I kinda like it
Did A honeys for Heroes charity even this week, where all wounded vets and those at the VA hospital could come down to a meet and greet with the models! it was very humbling! Here is our poster (with me on cover Then we have this amazing group who did all our hair and make up And here come the best parts! The veterans! This Lucky guy got a picture with ALLLLL the models. And he loved our ink Now for a picture of us girls with a hospital volunteer Now the Girls and the photographer Finally, a meet and greet with the families of these veterans
Thanks all! We made a huge event of it. We all did old 50's pin up style outfits and hair and played 50's music, danced with the vets. Everyone was super amazing! I can't wait to do it again The next event were doing is a start to a "make a wish foundation" but instead of cancer patients, it'll be for dying vets. That one will be really cool and I'm very excited!
That's a really cool thing you did (and plan on doing, too)! I've always believed it's important to find ways to give back to the community - which is always easier said than done (but is part of why I chose to teach in the inner city of Queens). Kudos to you for managing to do it!
I was going through some old shots a few days ago and came across this shot. I never processed it for some reason but I kind of like it. It was taken in Peggy's cove about 5 years ago.
^ That's effing brilliant! Love the composition, colors, and sharpness. Between the sky, water, rocks, and buildings it's exceptionally well-balanced, too. Really well done!
