He coordinates the parking in the VIP lot. Basically drive scooter around and hob nobs with people parking before the game. He's always liked talking to anyone so it's the perfect gig for him. He know the owner and most of the sky box owners(we've been invited to sit in the in number one box a couple of times by the owners of that box, real nice people) He has some fun stories about Billy Bean and some of the other GM's and past players that have come through as well. My mom passed this spring, so I'm glad he has this to give him a place to hang out and people to spend time with.
Back home from Comicpalooza. Here are some snaps from the weekend. Sorry about the poor quality; I'm a sucky photographer with a crappy camera. Hence, the results. things around the con: Some of the Lego sculptures: Trek actors: Looking down on the first half of the dealers room: Actor Joseph Gatt talking to a cylon A Trek necklace I bought for myself. The picture doesn't do it justice. It has that layered-glass look, with all those lovely colors. OH, and one last thing....for Mr. Laser Beam, the view from my hotel room:
Thanks! It was really the one thing I hadn't been able to find anywhere else--girly Trek accessories that didn't cost a fortune. Yeah, I was pretty much geeking out at that. It was a combined convention of Comicpalooza and Galacticon--celebrating the 35th anniversary of the original and the 10th of nuBSG. It was a great hodge-podge of different people. I saw, listened to spoke to: Armin Shimmerman Rene Auberjonois Avery Brooks Ian McNiece (Dr Who, Doc Martin, etc) Glen Morshower (Aaron Pierce, 24) Gary Russel (Dr Who writer, editor) Kevin J. Anderson (writer) Katherine Catmull (had lunch w/her;writer & voice actor) the original BSG cast: Richard Hatch, Dirk Benedict, Anne Lockhart, etc. Bear McCreary (composer) Tamoh Penikett Edward James Olmos (hubby saw him talk, I just saw him shopping) and lots of others. It was awesome, but DAMN, I'm tired!
Thanks. I had to pull the pouty-face to get hubby to buy it for me. He somehow managed to be holding all the cash that weekend. CorporalClegg, you're puppy is sooo cute! Good to see you're raising him right.
LOL. I'd never make enough to live on. But thanks. I'm doing a custom non-jewelry piece for Kestra, and another person plans to order something in a few days, so I'm getting somewhere...
Interesting. Last time I paid any attention to Little League (I won't say how many decades ago that was ), the teams wore the logos of the local businesses that sponsored them.
Hehe, thanks! She's getting prettier and prettier. I ordered some dogtags that are just amazing. I will definitely show them of here when I get them!
Can you put a link to your Etsy site in your signature? I forgot to favorite it when you put it up last time.
