I am new! I have loved Voyager since I was little and the only reason my dad would let me stay up late was to watch it with him.
It has been a long time since I started watching it with him and I still love with it!
Unfortunately my friends hate it. They would indulge me every once in a while with my "Star Trek stuff" but were never really interested.
I haven't posted very much but I read other threads and love that others think as I do. That others like the show enough to wonder about the what ifs and decide on their favourite episode.
    I like trekbbs :techman:

To split the Tuvix or not split the Tuvix - that is the question.

Hello all, I don't think words can quite express the great relief and joy I feel for having come across this forum!

I know a few avid viewers of TNG but have never come across anyone who has enjoyed them equally or, at times, even considered Voyager a series worth any merit! I finally got so fed up with it and looked online and lo and behold, this forum came up. So greetings, and thank you for validating the fact that I am not alone in appreciating the series. :)

Oh you are NOT alone! Voyager is wonderful and IMHO gets better the more you watch it!

I never come across any Trek fans other than TNG fans in everyday, non fannish life. Oh a few much older people who fondly remember TOS but haven't seen it in decades. That's it. Star Trek = TNG in my country, where the other series were never on in prime time or with any regularity.

VOY fans exist, you just have to look in all the right corners of the interwebs :) Plus, a bunch of them are closeted. :) Welcome!

    Closeted?

Someone once teased a client of mine that I was a secret Trekkie.

The client responded, "You obviously haven't seen her office."

"To your forum, welcome!" (Shameless TOS movie reference for the uninitiated :guffaw: )

    I want a photo!!

I'm out and I'm proud! to be a Trekkie. That's how you meet trekkies IRL!
What's it from? I love the TOS movies but it's not ringing any bells.

^Search for Spock, the weird alien that McCoy tries to hire for a trip to Genesis.

    "To your planet, welcome!"

It took me a couple of seconds:rommie:.

^Welcome and don't worry, my friends don't get the Trek obsession either. That's how I ended up here. :)

    King Daniel is correct.

    My office.

It looks normal enough, until you realize the barrister styled (No, I'm not a lawyer) book case to my left is full of star trek ornaments/ships, various kirk icons, a bottle of romulan ale, etc. On top of another bookcase (way above normal sight line) is my Boxed set of Ken & Barbie in their TOS uniforms, and a box of cereal with the enterprise on it. In the hallway is likely what he was referring to, my autographed photos of various Trek actors/actresses.

Oh, and I have a freaking big autographed poster from Tea @ Five in another room.

    Much of a trekkie?

    Me????
