There is some kind of Score Duel... Make a setlist, play it and see if your (online) friends can beat the score...[/QUOTE] Yeah... that's not a score duel. If you took multiplayer out of say... FIFA would you say "Well there's a kind of multiplayer, just pick the same team and see who can win the World Cup first" Having two people playing the same chart side by side, one run, one chance is a lot different than grinding out your best possible score for a leaderboard.
Hm, looks like 14 RB2 songs wont export... from GameFAQS: As well as 2 RB1 songs not showing up: And the DLC from the week with 2 Tenacious D songs don't show up for some reason according to some people on certain Fora...
That sucks. I love playing the Journey, RHCP and Soundgarden songs. Maybe I will hold on to my RB2 disc.
Somehow bundles managed to make it to my city. Anyhoo, I'm trying to do the pro-keys trainer and the intervals are confusing me. It'd help if they just showed where your hands are supposed to be, but they just give you a vague "use your middle fingers and thumb" instruction as if I know what they mean.
Yeah, it's like they tell you what fingers to use for certain keys, but not all of them. I think a little more hand holding is in order in the trainer. I would think that you would want to use the correct fingers and build muscle memory for that. Learning to do some of this stuff with the wrong fingers is just going to bite you in the ass down the road I think.
And 2 more: Mostly relicensing issues/guitar hero exclusivity i'ld wager... Except for the DLC songs for September 15th last year, seems to be a missed bug...
Also, the pre-order guitars seem to have universal codes... The Best Buy one should probably found as well...
They seem to be having a lot of problems right now, but check this. http://www.rockband.com/support/export-rock-band#exportrockband2wii
Hm, no release date delivery from bol.com... Hopefully i will get it tomorrow or Saturday so i can get the free songs... WTF?!? Now it says release date is next week?!? Looks like i'm going to see if it's in stores here and cancel my online order... Although it seems like both the Doors DLC and the export aren't up and running for the EU PSN...
I played RB3 all afternoon. Got the three free Doors tracks, had fun playing those. I like the new menu system, the way players can drop in and out quickly and easily. I like the new challenges (go into overdrive as many times as possible, get as many streaks as possible, etc) and there's a lot of great tracks. Failing out of 'Freebird' got me all nostalgic for 2007. I'm still sad about losing some of the tracks that won't make the song export from RB2, because a couple of them were favorites, but I'll deal. Overall, I'm really pleased with this game. I can't wait to dig further into it and eventually check out the pro-mode.
I like that there's a No Fail mode that lets you finish a song and still record a score. I can finally play expert guitar and not worry about the solos kicking my ass (Smoke on the Water, damn you). The ability to instantly switch instruments on the fly is a god send too, since before I'd have to log out and log on and blahblahblah. I'm just disappointed that they removed headset support, because that's how I would play the vocal and guitar sections. I was all ready to upgrade to a RB2 guitar but it turns out all the stores around here got rid of them ages ago. I tried a GH guitar and I just can't play with it. The neck is way too thick and the clacky strum bar is just off putting.
Oh I definitely prefer the GH guitar. That mushy strum on the RB guitar is off-putting for me, and the whole thing just felt flimsy. The GH guitar has more weight to it, feels more solid. To each his own, I guess.
Yeah, it's really strange. You either like one or the other. I don't mind the GH guitar, but it hurts to play for a long time and the clacking can get a bit distracting. I'm wondering if I should even bother though, since I'm going to buy the Pro Guitar... I don't think I'll ever play drums, but I almost want to have a drum set to replace my old RB1 drumset that is "upgrade ready" in case I ever want to do Pro Drums. The only reason I'm worried is that it looks like this whole scheme of plastic instruments is basically dead - especially since Warriors of Rock bombed. It might actually be hard to buy these things down the line outside of special order.
