You know, the worst part of it is that no matter how the deaths are handled, no matter how heroic or poingnant, in the end the only thing that will matter is that they were killed by Arcade. That's like letting Greedo collect the bounty on your head.

This project reminds me of the awful Countdown: Arena book DC did.

    ^^^
I'm not reading AvX so my takeaway at a glance is it seem Colossus is back to just being Colossus. No more of this Colossus/Juggy hybrid.

Also, has Forge been seen in awhile? Him on the cover caught me off guard.

JuggerColossus is being dealt with currently in Uncanny X-Men and should be resolved by the time Marvel Now starts. Forge has not been seen since Warren Ellis's Astonishing X-Men arc I believe after being rejected by Storm.

More Marvel Now covers, along with Amazing Spider-Man #700 covers which includes Humberto Ramos amazing wrap around cover for the issue.

I'm just not a fan of Ramos art style.
What I find interesting was the lack of Green Goblin or Hobgoblin being on there. At best there was one section that could be one of them, it was heavily shadowed, but it's not plain. Both are top tier foes and for a #700 issue cover they should be more evident. I mean Cardiac and Tarantula are easier to make out.

Norman hasn't been Green Goblin for a very long time, not to mention absent from Amazing since pretty much Brand New Day and the American Son storyline , and Hobgoblin has been a major presence in Amazing during Dan Slott's run and been involved in an ongoing reoccurring storyline. Hobby is also positioned fairly close to Peter's circle of friends as well:) What I didn't notice about the cover before is how prominent Mehphsito is in it :)

Really excited about Cable & X-Force. The last run of Cable was probably my favorite storyline over the past several years.

    More Marvel Now! news...

    To sum up in brief...

Iron Man, Mr. Fantastic, Black Bolt and Black Panther are the new New Avengers. Hmm. Three members of the Illuminati and the one person who refused to join (Hey! What will happen with Prof. X's Infinity Gem now that he has... passed?). Interesting. And Hickman will still be writing Reed Richards!

    A solo book for Psylocke?

Wow. Unused Steve Ditko art being used for an ASM 700 variant! Sweet! I hope they pay the guy the current going rate for cover art.

    Because he hates Marvel?

Donate the money to the CBLDF for gosh sakes, or maybe a charity to look after blind puppies.

    Objectivists don't believe in charity.

Giving it away would be interpreted as a middle finger to his beliefs.

^Yes. Both he and Sue circa Avengers 297-305. They were on leave from the FF at the time.

Avengers 300, while he was supposed to be living in the suburbs with Sue. Ben was running the Fantastic Four. They only stayed for half a dozen issues.

That was a very specific time in Marvel history. Avengers 300 showed Steve Rogers in his "Captain" uniform and was an "Inferno" crossover to boot!
The Thing is an Avenger right now. Has been for over a year. He was also part of the West Coast Avengers back in the 80s.

Johnny is the only FF member who's never been an Avenger if memory serves. Even most of the fill-in members are Avengers too.
