Yeah, seeing Norton again would have been cool for continuity I guess, but I never really got too attached to him as Banner. There's nothing about his performance that really stuck out to me (even Eric Bana's Banner seemed more memorable), so I have no problem bringing in someone new.

^I about keeled over when I heard that little tidbit.

Booster has been one of my favorite characters for years now, and... (Now that I think about those SFX tests for the new Blue Beetle live action series we saw featuring Jamie Reyes... I'm wondering if this is a backdoor pilot of sorts, or infact the reason those tests were done in the first place.

I really was hoping to see Ted Kord.

The blue beetle question and Welling's reaction was hilarious.

That's because Norton was paying homage to the Bill Bixby version of Banner. A man on the run that can never find peace within & without.

    Anywhoo...

I always think of Banner as more the guy from the comics.

That's one part I didn't get about the comics.
If you're constantly being persued by the military, why wouldn't you be on edge? I mean, they'd never let you rest and you'd always be looking over your shoulder. Under that type of stress, I can't see how anyone could remain mild mannered. You'd become suspicious of everyone and cynical.

You'd be on edge because of circumstances but not because that's your actual nature. Norton gave me the impression of a guy who was born stressed out. I know it's a fine distinction and probably influenced by my impression that Norton himself is the kind of guy who would throw an on-set tirade (and maybe something like that is what led to the rift with Marvel?)

I doubt it considering Marvel needed a big name star to get butts back in the seats after Ang Lee's film and that Marvel asked Norton for his input in making it. I'm thinking it's because Marvel has Downey, Jackson & Johannssen to sell the Avengers and they don't feel the need to pay someone like Norton when they can hire the cheaper Ruffalo. Plus, Marvel's been aquired by Disney since the Incredible Hulk too. So new executives with new ideas in franchise direction stepped in.
Besides, I've heard about more tirades from Russel Crowe, Val Kilmer & Mel Gibson than I've ever heard about Ed Norton.
