Nothing against Before and After, but I like Meld and Prey better.

Difficult to choose now, but I'm going to eliminate Prey. Meld is among my favorites of VOY and I like that Kes was actually given a chance to shine in Before and After (something that didn't happen often).

Meld is one of my favorite VOY episodes. Brad Dourif is great, and Tuvok gets a really interesting story. It's intense, dark and disturbing and actually uses the Maquis premise (in a group of terrorists, there's likely to be an actual sociopath or psychopath)... in other words, it is everything that VOY sadly usually is not.

I agree with DevilEyes. Both are good episodes, but I prefer the darker psychological stuff of Meld to the more high-concept sci-fi stuff in Before and After.

    Meld - 0
    Before and After - 2

And so, Meld is the VOY winner!

Before and After is good, and Lien does a great job in it, but Russ and Dourif do so, so, so much better in Meld.

It's as valid a reason as any other to dislike an episode. We were asked to give reasons.

And I don't think greatly disliking a character and by proxy their feature episodes is 'irrational'.

That being said, Meld is a great choice, and I approve of it winning.

Phew, this one took a while. But at long last, the game is over. Thanks for playing everyone, and now we can move on!

Hopefully you guys will follow me to.. the Enterprise board later today. :bolian:

Deep Space Nine Winner: In the Pale Moonlight.

I can't believe Meld ended up the favorite, there are so many better episodes out there. I guess that's just how weirdly the game works

I would have voted for Before and After but Meld is a good episode. A lot of good VOY episodes just didn't make it.

Surprising, to say the least. I would have voted to have Dark Frontier or Scorpion as best episode. But ah well...

You know what I think this game reveals, not the best episode but the "least disliked episode". Well it was still fun!

I think that it's because if there's a good episode but someone doesn't like it, it only takes one post for that episode to go.

I mean, it only would have taken one person to think that Best of Both Worlds was crap to see that go first...
