He's a complete marshmallow....until there's a piece of string around. Then he's suddenly a bobcat on the prowl. But mostly he's a big Mama's boy.He just turned 1 this month, so he's still a kid.
I am, too. I love him to death. Although.........there are times I love him a bit less, like when he was howling at 7 am, when I didn't get to bed until 3. But at least now, I no longer need an alarm clock.
My personal cat, Wicket, used to wake me up by patting me on the cheek with his paw. He'd go.. pat pat pat. Pause. Pat pat pat. Pause. Pat pat pat. And if you didn't respond the fourth time he would repeat this with his claws out so you were just gently stabbed awake. He also used to wake me up by stabbing his nose into my eye, like diving his face into mine. He's locked out of my room now but I had this for years
It's hard to get photos of this one as she moves around a lot.. this is Teacake who I inherited from a relative that went overseas for a year. I knew she was quite feral and I was worried about my boy cats beating her up as they are the alpha males of the neighborhood (this street is full of cats). But she was named after me so how could I refuse her? Also she was not a very nice animal and there really was no where for her to go. But in the year or so I've had her she has become quite friendly (only on her terms). She is a shoulder cat and will leap onto people's shoulders and ride around the house like that. She is 1/3 the size of the boys but she has put them in their place and viciously attacks them if they show her any attitude. She is SO HAPPY to be allowed outside, she only had a balcony before. She just loves it.
I figure you'll all forgive me if this has been posted.. very amusing. Cat people vs Dog people. [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbycvPwr1Wg[/yt]
Boy, my felines had a folly today... http://www.trekbbs.com/showthread.php?t=196648 They are OK and nothing bad happened to them, though.
^Oh dear! Yes. One of my cats clearly considers me to be a piece of furniture, designed specifically for being sat and trod upon.
That photo reminds me of one Christmas many years ago hearing a terrible CRASH! from living room . Glittery ball decorations not a good idea...
Every year when I put the tree up they knock it down and trash it once. And then I put it back up again
I haven't put up decorations this year. Given my cats' track record for climbing on things or creating mayhem while I'm at work, I'm afraid to.
