FWIW, Park is a very common Korean surname. In fact, half of all Koreans have the name Kim, Lee, or Park, and there are only about 250 Korean family names altogether.

Yes, I'm very well aware of that...(although, maybe except for the 250 Korean family names part)...

    Thank you....;)

    Just curious:
Is Hoshi sporting the official Star Fleet female underwear in this picture? I wonder what Star Fleet's official policy on bras is.

It's quite possibly the only reason the watch "Shockwave, Part 2, but when the reason is so compelling, why argue?

Definitely one of my favorite characters. :techman:

If only they'd focused more on the communications officers!

It's a shame they only put the "Ho" in Hoshi in the Mirror Universe. ;)

I had never thought about that until now.

Wait...she hooked up with that alien dude on Risa. To be fair, that's the only action she gets until the Mirror Universe.

I have read this entire thread.

I still can't seem to appreciate her much :(

My favorite Hoshi ep was Exile which I find to be full of pathos. I quite like it.

I felt a lot of pathos for her in Countdown and Zero Hour. That was probably my favorite Hoshi storyline.

I was wondering why there was no Hoshi thread, but I guess here you just have to dig deep enough ;)
I really liked Hoshi, I could never understand why they always showed her like an adolescent, they all patronized her in a way, Trip, Archer, Malcolm, T'Pol... it seemed like she and Mayweather (for whom I have nothing good to say no matter how hard I try) were showed like two kids. That was really stupid when you take in mind what an expert and irreplacable crew member Hoshi was.
That's one of the reasons I liked Observer Effect so much. That was true Hoshi, woman that can crush all security codes on Enterprise ;) Mathematics is just another language;)
I liked her also in the Expanse, she was great.
They should've let her grow up:lol:
I liked her in mirror darkly.
I think it wouldn't be bad combination Reed/Hoshi although I still can't believe how good it was in mirror darkly Archer/Hoshi. Not sure how would that come up in real... But she and Mayweather - NOOO.
She definitely deserved better as a character but also when you consider how good actress Linda Park really is.

    wow. hoshi is beautiful.

I would not mind being stuck in the decontamination chamber with her...

There aren't really a lot of "Hoshi episodes," unfortunately. For the most part, if you weren't one of the Big Three in ENT, you didn't get a lot of attention. Here are some episodes in which Hoshi was either the main focus, or at least played a major role:

    Fight or Flight
    Silent Enemy
    Sleeping Dogs
    Vox Sola
    Two Days and Two Nights
    Vanishing Point
    Exile
    Countdown
    Observer Effect
In a Mirror, Darkly, Part I
In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II

    And...well, that's about it.

Oh, and I saw her first! :klingon: :p

I recently saw Linda Park on The Mentalist. Nice character, hope she'll be back.

Hoshi as a character got shat on, which was a real pity because Linda Park was a great actress.

Also, she was way hotter than T'Pol.
