And given the results so far it's not much of a suprise that's it's world number 1 Djokvic vs world number 2 Murray in the Men's single.

No pressure Andy but's it's only been 77 years since a we've had a British mens singles champion.

    Murray-ometer ('X' marks the spot) :

    Scottish-----------------------X----British

Should he win (and I'd estimate his chances at around 20%) he'll be forever British. Otherwise, Scottish for another year...

    Come On Murray !

As it was with Ryan Giggs a few years back, a personality should be a requirement for a sportsman to be nominated for that particularly award.

Don't be snarky, the prize is on sporting achievement and Murray has earned it. His job is to play world class Tennis not to crack jokes at your whim.

As much as I dislike the guy, he always seems so bloody grumpy, I'm glad he won. He deserved it.

I'd be grumpy with some of the questions he is asked by the press at times. I would also say don't mistake grumpiness with professionalism, its something more of our British sport starts could take a note off - especially our national footballers.

Well I think some of the front pages of the papers tomorrow might feature a certain A. Murray.

What a 24 hours for British sport.

Last year may have been the golden summer, but this one's shaping up quite nicely too.

A Lions tour win, and then another great British sporting hoodoo kicked into touch today as well.

A nice 5-0 humping dished out in the Ashes series will cap off the summer quite nicely..... ;)

Awesome result for Andy Murray. Just awesome. And an exciting match with some great shots between him and Novak. Great entertainment. :)

    So... yes?

So does that mean the Lions will win the Team award?
