They wondered how to get

 

the Enterprise to the coordinates

 

so the shuttle was sent

 

to a position about five

 

parsecs in front of the

 

Enterprise where it could activate

 

a sensor Scotty developed. It

 

could detect the wavelengths of

 

of any ships who might

 

be in the neighboring galaxy.

 

"Scotty, get those sensors working.

 

I want them to be

 

able to navigate us through

 

any ion storms or other

 

nebulae in the way."

The

 

ship's sensors were the most

 

advanced ever built but every

 

now and then, they didn't

 

have what is needed to

 

ensure the crew could detect
