This year's mission is different from last year's. This year involves taking out your faction's flagship and fighting the Undine. Its worth doing at least once for the one-time 10 lobi reward.

I think the Lobi reward is an account based daily.

Will do it today again on my KDF and tomorrow on my Romulan... more to use the opportunity to fly a Bortasq and a Scimitar and meet their crews, though.

I ran the mission again on day two. Tried several different characters too. No additional lobi, so it is a single-time, per account deal.

I ran it on another of my characters this morning and got the special box again. So definitely a per-account daily.

Either your (hidden) cooldown counter was not done or the box ended up in your overflow bag perhaps?

So, I played the game today and noticed that while the video setting are at the recommended settings STO's graphics looks only slightly better than on a laptop.

So did they update something or am I going to have to fix something with my computer?

I don't play this game, but from I understand every in-game event takes place in 2409. So if we assume that a single Starfleet/KDF/RRF officer is the character who accomplishes every mission in the game, how many years would this game span, realistically?

Depends. The game doesn't really take travel times into account. You can traverse half the galaxy in about 2 minutes and so routinely.
Your character rises from cadet to vice admiral which realistically would probably take decades, but the game gets around that by invoking war time field promotions.

But there's got to be time for the villains to plot, for your superiors to analyze your debriefings, for your superiors to plan what to do next, a lot of time for the Dyson Joint Command to construct bases in the Solanae Dyson Sphere, etc. Even if travel times are impossibly short, off-screen background actions have got to take time.

I just published part 2 of my foundry series yesterday. If you have some time to kill, please run them. I need the feedback to improve the missions. The foundry mission titles are:

    Eclipse #1: Komahashi Maru
Eclipse #2: The Borg of 4028

I'm working on part 3 right now. The tentative title is "Encounter at Otha", but I'm inclined to change it to something more interested as it is a "mid-season" episode. I might end it on a cliffhanger.

My game keeps crashing... I won't log in again, till I sorted that out. Soryy, guys. Couldn't tell you when you were waiting for the queue to pop...

Edit: took this as my final push to get a new pc system. Was planning that for awhile. Should be a lot smoother now. :)

Never been much of a PC gamer, but I finally checked this out yesterday and it's been really fun. I'm way over-matched when it comes to fighting the Borg spheres though. They should probably tell you that!

If the game is laggy after turning the graphics up the maximum does that mean I need a better graphics card?

Is it laggy or a low frame rate?

I don't know how to tell.

All I know is interacting with stuff works like normal but when my character is moving it seems like they are pausing somewhat.

And this only happens of max settings.

Allright. my new pc system is running and I just had a shakedown with Crystalline Entity. That map usually makes my frame rate drop to a standstill on highest settings.
Now I can play it without the slightest hickup!
