Justice League #13: Not much came of the Superman/Wonder Woman kiss, but I like the Cheetah story. I never thought that Wonder Woman had a good counterpart the way Bats and Supes did with Joker and Luthor, but now I see that she does in Cheetah. Wonder Woman is supposed to represent "spirit" and Cheetah is the denial of that. She's someone who clings more to the animalistic part of man. I'll finish out the arc just to see what they do with this, then I'll drop the title again.

Death of the New Gods was awful. here's hoping that they do something interesting with them in the new 52. they seemed to have planted the seeds in WW already.

Also there was a big New Gods connection in the JLD Annual.

That was pretty interesting. Gotta wonder where they're going.

    Let's see...

    Aquaman
    Action Annual

    NON-DC
    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
    TMNT Annual
    Ghostbusters

Aquman was okay, but I wasn't big on the current story arc and look forward to where it's going from here. Only other book I've read is GB which was pretty good in of itself with the GB now facing competition.

Aquaman I agree was decent, but I wasn't too engaged by the Others story arc either. The Throne of Atlantis arc should be much more interesting. I also thought the Action Comics Annual was kind of meh. Also wound up enjoying the Origin Of Skeletor that I picked up despite it being drawn by Frazer Irving.

Vibe and Katana? Well noone can accuse DC of not throwing crap against the wall to see if it will stick. Vibe I have no interest in right out of the box but Katana might be interesting if handled properly. And 52 varient covers for Justice League of America #1. Wow, thats just insane.

52 variant covers? That is just plain ridiculous!

My guess is that each state's variant cover is going to be about the only one available there. The smaller states naturally mean less copies, so they'll be more sought after.

Ummmmm....just the regular cover is find by me.

Didn't they learn their lesson with JL International? I would love to have a book about the characters from the seventies and eighties (pre-Detroit) that haven't joined the League. Hawkman, Atom, Green Arrow--then Elongated Man, Black Canary, Firestorm, Zatanna, the Martian Manhunter, Hawkwoman...am I missing anyone?

That is the entire selling point of the comic!

I assume it won't quite be the same character. Less stereotypical is my guess.

    Written by Kreisberg?

I don't see the less stereotypical thing happening.

^He is known for terribly unoriginal comics writing while he was briefly the writer on GA.

BB is still something DC is looking to sell to the general public, but Bedard was a terrible choice and he sunk the book. Should have picked Rogers since he still had a year of stories apparently before he left.

Vibe is just them capitalizing on the new JLA book. That is why you have the Lemire's GA book I suspect and also the Katana book too. Probably some sort of tie-in with GA( Lemire), Vibe(Kreisberg), Catwoman&Katana(Nocenti) with Johns dictating the overall direction.

I really enjoyed Action Comics #14...especially the back up story regarding the location of Krypton. The Multitude is interesting indeed. Morales art seemed a little...off on this issue compared to his previous work on the book. Not sure why. Also we finally have the reveal of the Little Man.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't blowing me away either and I want to be selective about what I buy and read.
