Looks like the Galaxy class starships were built in part on the Martian surface, so what was done in Abrams' Trek isn't totally new.

That happened to Sunshine, but I can't recall any other instance where a movie fell apart like that.

 

Considering Spock fights the villain at some point so unless the movie is a big flash back he isn't dying in the volcano, and the teaser has the Enterprise rising out of the water, Kirk is probably in trouble having the Enterprise fly over to the volcano in full view of the natives.

Which is understandable as it one thing to save a pre-warp culture without them knowing about it since it would likely have little effect on them, its another to do so while letting them get a good look at you doing it and even seeing your spaceship at the same time.

 

Maybe in another thread, but I've seen no explanation as to why it *isn't Garth* here. If he knows something about the film we don't, then fine...but if he's just as clueless as the rest of us, this know-it-all attitude with little to no explanation is really irritating.

And I haven't responded "each and every time" I've brought up how that type of a post can be annoying only twice now to two different posters.

 

While I understand what you're saying, and I don't have a dog in this fight, I personally find it a bit more annoying for Legion to just pop in and repeatedly post one-word replies like "Nope." Even if he does have a basis for thinking it's not Gary Mitchell or Khan or whoever, these one-word replies add nothing to the discussion and come off as a bit arrogant.

All IMHO and worth what you paid for it.

Can be captured and held in a brig
Can be punched in the face
Has to run away from someone in the trailer
Appears to be in Starfleet
Possibly takes command of a starship
Detonates the fleet and is or has some form of WMD

The leaked fight footage also shows he can take a nerve pinch and phaser blast within a couple of minutes and shrug off both. So...no idea.

Who the fuck is John Harrison?

 

Lt Harrison (Ron Veto) appeared in 27 episodes of the original series, including Space Seed. He was in more episodes than Lt Kyle (John Winston) who appeared in 11. Harrison is Canon from the first and second seasons.

 

What, did they just pick that out of a hat or something? Some irrelevant background character?
