The voices of Bart Simpson and Elmyra Duff make you think of "loveable", "Innocent" and "Awwww..."? :wtf::p

Well, you have to think of a floating alien dolphin (in a specially made Starfleet uniform) working in Engineering...not Elmyra or Bart...

I had never heard of him, so I googled, as one does. At first the only pics I could find were contest night at the leather bar, then I looked further...

"Oh... that's who he is." <giggle>

Interesting choice, amusingly appropriate, and oddly enough, he can actually act.

Some I came up with while reading; I think some have already picked the same individuals:

    TOS

*Mandala Flynn from 'The Entropy Effect'-Kadida or Rashida Jones

*Reese Diksen from 'Star Trek: Recovery'-Ellen Page

    *Admiral Nogura-Clyde Kusatsu

    TNG

    *Vicenzo Farrenga-Isaac de Barkol

The last name definitely sounds African.

    *Miranda Kadohata-Stephanie Jacobsen

The girl from BSG:Razor who is of mixed ancestry, and Australian. I believe they have her picture on Memory Beta as an idea for the character anyhow...

    *Ensign Rosado-Rita Moreno

    DS9

    *Elias Vaughn-Burt Reynolds

Give the guy a role he and work with, and he'll do wonders....

*Prynn Tenmei-Sandrine Holt, Moon Bloodgood, Tia Cararre (sp?)

Some have mentioned Grace Park, but Park doesn't look 'mixed.' However, I recall Tia Cararre doesn't actually looked mixed either, and she portrayed a half-black/half-Asian-Japanese on the film 'Rising Sun'....soooo....

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's at least one scene where she, you know, actually EATS something. That would pretty much rule out Callista.

I thought of another idea what about Renee O,Conner (Gabbrielle in Xena) as Christeen Vale.

That's actually a very interesting idea. By now, she'd be about the right age, and she is generally the right type physically.

I was going to add Hugh Cambridge to my list of casted individuals above, but I'm having trouble placing him with an actor.

    Maybe someone can help me?

I may be mistaken, but hasn't Kirsten Beyer actually said that Laurie was her inspiration for Cambridge?

She's a good choice for Kadohata (if maybe too young), but she also seems much like I picture Prynn Tenmei.

I like a lot of David Mack's choices for the Vanguard characters. (I see a few differently, though.)

Diego Reyes - Edward James Olmos
    Rana Dasai - Parminder Nagra
    Dr. Fisher - Morgan Freeman
    Cervantes Quinn - Stanley Adams
    Ming Xiong - Jet Li
    Lurqual - Katherine Heigel
    Ganz - Ving Rhames
    Oriano D'Amato - Monica Belucci
    Atish Khatami - Catherine Bell
    Aledard Nassir - Ben Kingsley
Vanessa Theriault - Molly Quinn (in a few years)

I have a very specific image of Zhao Sheng in mind, but don't know of an actor who fits it - something along the lines of Chow Yun Fat crossed with Brad Pitt, but less handsome (and slightly gray at the temples).

A new photoshop of Chaves-Jacobsen as Kadohata (except the rank, it could as easily be Tenmei).

Agreed. That's impressive. It also reminds me that I should do more of mine, although I'll admit they aren't as good as that one.

Late to the party, but I've been fancasting AOS versions of TOS novel characters, and fell in love with the idea of Gina Holden as Enterprise Chief Engineer Caitlin Barry from Vulcan's Glory and The Rift.

Also, I could totally see Natalie Morales as a young Charlotte "Caliente" Chavez in Who Much...? mostly cos Wendy Watson could SO hold her own against Jim Kirk. (This particular fancasting came out of a long Livejournal thread about Noser playing "Stump the Band" with the current Enterprise senior staff.)

I've already posted this in other casting theads, but here's my Cait:
