It has to be 'Voulez-Vous'! LOL :cardie:

But really, when you grow up listening to ABBA playing on cassette in your dad's car, you just don't give it up.

You can't beat a bit of ABBA

They are a weird group ABBA if your a guy, you could never admit to likeing them, but they do have some bloody great pop songs!:;):techman: My mum loves ABBA, so I've been hearing them most of my childhood.

    My 4 favs are-
Dancing Queen An absolute, 100% classic.
    Knowing Me, Knowing You
    One of Us
Gimmie,Gimmie,Gimmie I can't help roaring "Half past twelve!" every time I hear this one.:alienblush:

I work in an office with about 100 workers, 95% male, aged from late teens to early 60's, and I can honestly say that only The Beatles get more people singing along than ABBA when they are on the radio!

Waterloo and SOS will always be my favorites.

I love the song Dancing Queen, but I think that the re-make by Sixpence None the Richer (on the Dick soundtrack) is much better.

I love Waterloo, Honey, Honey, and Super Trooper!

And this may be sacreligious, but while the original wouldn't be my favourite, I was totally awesomed by Meryl Streeps rendition of The Winner Takes it All.

Have to admit they're a guilty pleasure of mine also - my Ma was a big fan when I was growing up so I got plenty of opportunities to like 'em. Messrs Ulvaeus & Andersson certainly knew how to write perfect pop songs, be they blousy power ballads or up-tempo disco numbers. Hard to pick just one - "Mamma Mia", "On and On and On", "Knowing Me, Knowing You" and "One of Us" would all be on the list somewhere......

    Does your mother know

My first favorite ABBA song that I ever heard was "Waterloo" when it was featured on the movie, "Muriel's Wedding" and a short clip from "The Simpsons". My wife introduced me to "Mamma Mia" a few years ago and have come to really like "Under Attack" and probably listen to that song the most out of any of them, particularly the original cast recording of it from "Mamma Mia". "SOS", "Knowing Me, Knowing You," and "I Have a Dream" are some of my other favorites. Heck, pretty much darn near all of the songs featured in "Mamma Mia" were great. It's actually kind of hard to think of one favorite song from their catalog that I've listened to so far although I don't listen to Fernando (sp?) nor Chaquiqita (sp?) much. I don't understand the hatred and derision that some people exhibit towards their music and/or people who enjoy them.

I have the ABBA Gold Greatest Hits CD album, and I like almost all the songs. I don't listen to and have never developed a liking for "Voulez Vous," "Thank You for the Music," or "The Name of the Game." Guess I'm biased, so I didn't include those in the poll options. ;)
