    Rothlesberger goes DOWN!

Big Ben came back and was sacked 3 more times in that game. It was a thing of sublime beauty.

    eta: Sorry, 6 more times...

YouTube is blocked here at work, so I can't view the link yet. Is it from the Ravens game last season?

Nothing more exciting than watching a race horse "come from the clouds" to win.
(especially, if you're holding a ticket on him!) [IMG]
I've always been fond of thoroughbreds who come flying at the end of a race...
Silky Sullivan was probably the best there ever was at making that particular move.
Not the greatest horse to ever grace the race track...
but perhaps the best stretch runner the sport has ever known.

I saw a collection of videos out on MSN or somewhere, under the heading of "faked". It included this particular one. Anyone else heard that?

No, I hadn't heard that. If that's true, then they fooled Fox (because they played the clip during the All-Star Game). But considering it's Fox... ;)

OKay, this clip has two of my favorite sports people: 1.) Greg Oden - one of the best and nicest young talents in the NBA. And 2.) .... Erin Andrews!

Yep, the ball-girl catch was fake.

Speeaking of ball-girls. I remember watching a game where a ball girl was nearly hit by a line drive, and the announcers were worried about ehr safety and getting hurt. Can't find the clip

The greatest swimming race in history. Going into the 2000 Olympics the Americans had never lost the event and anchor leg swimmer Gary Hall Jr predicted before the games that the Australians would be 'smashed like guitars'. The Aussies, featuring Michael Klim and Ian Thorpe were determined to use home advantage to make sure that didn't happen. This is what happened next . . . .

I remember it from 2000 ... it was great to be an Australian. :D Ian Thorpe's swim was amazing, down half a body length on Hall Jr, and came back and won. The salute afterwards was awesome too.

While stumbling around the other day, I came across this recollection of Derek Redmond from the 1992 Games in Barcelona. Very nice piece, good for maintaining perspective.

Steve Ovett's apearance at the 1984 games were pretty memorable too.

Bert Cameron pulled a hamstring in the semi-final of the 400 meter dash at the 1984 games and went on to qualify for the final, for which he couldn't compete in.

Emil Zatopek is always a sight to watch, it was a pity about Chris Brasher in that race though.

And the unforgettable Miruts Yifter(The Shifter).

I remember seeing that moment live in 1992. It was truly heartbreaking.

On a lighter note, probably the greatest Winter Olympics moment so far this century:
    2006 Womens Snowboard Cross Final

Worth it for the BBC commentary alone. :guffaw:
