Skynet would most likely have a connection directly into the hardware of the facility to control what was going on with energy generation. If you listened the facility was going to full automated control and wasn't going to have employees anymore. There is no guarantee that it would even have a control room any longer (a similar storyline was shown in the novel T2: Infiltrator in which the I-950 arranged for several facilities to be controlled only through automation including energy generation facilities and weapons production that were controlled by a prototype T-800 control matrix.

I'm mixed on that.

 

And if necessary you can destroy these and go back to a more manual control method.

 

Exactly. It seems that every trip into the past creates a new generation of the future based on what it changed, so each new batch of time-travelers is from a different version of the future. Kyle Reese and the movie terminators were all from a generation where Judgement Day happened in 1997. Cameron, Cromartie, the unnamed engineer, and probably Vick and Carter all came from the generation that resulted from the changes in the timeline made in Terminator 2, where Judgement Day happened in 2011. Derek's group came back from the next generation after that one, caused by Cameron's time-jump in the series premiere. The ersatz Carl and possibly the T-1001 are from the latest generation, after Derek killed Andy Goode.

 

Maybe, maybe not. I'm not going to engage in a debate with you over it.

On a lighter note: I took another test drive of the 2009 Dodge Ram today. I love it - except for the payment... $657 a month with $8,000 down.

^ Actually I have a 2007 on a lease and my lease expires in a few months (but I had been told it was terminated - pardon the pun - a month ago and was looking at new Rams which was why I was looking at the 2009s). Since I liked my 2007 so much (and the payments between this new one and my 07 would only be different by around $75) I decided to get a new one. I had already requested more information on the 1500 prior to it being on TSCC.

 

Well, I've decided to be a whore for product placement and enter the Ram sweepstakes on the Terminator site at Fox.

So, when I win, Summer Glau comes with the truck. Right? Right?!
