What in your opinion is the worst season of Trek ever put on screen? For me it was the only season of Trek that had more episodes I disliked then liked, VOY season 7. The only episodes that I have any desire to ever see again are Repression-I like Tuvok Critical Care-very good Shattered-Fun Prophecy-Not that good but I liked it anyway The Void-Good Workforce-Not sure why but I liked this two parter Author, Author-The only truly great episode all season So that's 8 episodes out of 24 which is far and away the worst average of any season. The main fault that S7 has is that its just plain boring, looking over the episode guide on wikipedia I cant even entirely remember a number of the episodes despite the fact that I just watched the whole season about six months ago.
As much as I loved TNG, honestly didnt find the first season that enjoyable when I rewatched it a few years ago, wasnt anything that really stood out.
^^ On re-watch, you're right, TNG season 1 was pretty weak. However, I was a sophomore in college during season 1, and there was a huge contingent of people in my dorm and on campus who watched it and completely enjoyed it. Male and female, jock, geek, sorority/frat kids the TV lounge was packed every Saturday night. At the time, it was great, but seeing it through the eyes of the rest of the series it does pale in comparison. I voted for Ent season 2. Just very very bland.
I went TNG 1 because nothing will ever excuse that pilot. 7 might have had lacklustre eps but at least there was some chemistry and zippiness between the crew by then. Season 1 is painful.
I picked TNG season 1 because I stopped halfway through season 1. I'll pick it up again sometime in the future, though.
TNG season one is not the worst season at all, it has some real gems in there. It does have a terrible, terrible pilot episode though I won't deny that. I am going to say Voyager S7.
I went for Enterprise season 1. Not absolutely terrible by any means, but for me, it just feels quite "flat" overall.
Opinions vary. TNG has Code of Honor, and that, outside of ENT's Cogenitor, is the worst Trek episode I've ever seen. Even the TNG cast didn't like that episode. I only got half-way thru season one, though. I do hope to find those gems in the second half.
I voted for "Enterprise" season 2. "A Night in Sickbay" and "Marauders" drove me to stop watching for more than a year. No other Star Trek season could achieve that. Yes, I eventually caught up on most of the episodes I missed.
^At the very least, it's very flawed. I saw what it was trying to do; it just didn't do that. If you want my reasons, or my description, as to why it's so flawed, then you can read them here, here, or particularly here which might be best.
