Just teasing my new project 100th Anniversary. In the year 2066, Star Trek celebrate his first century, so I ask my self: "How Star Trek looks like, when I have grandchildren ?"
If were lucky we'd be able to film it on a actual Starship in orbit. also i could dig yet another reboot in my lifetime as long as Gabe's ship is used. Cool art and idea though. I hope i live to see 2066
Yes, Gabe´s Enterprise is very nice, but overused. My problem with JJ´s Enterprise, for me the whole ship lucks like a gigant flying apple store. Any one remember that´s just a huge starship ? I liked the internal design, the enginiering aka the "Budcore" is perhaps realistic, even in the 23th century. So, I designed the saucer a little more bulky and more mechanical. The saucer have also no single window on it, because the Enterprise is in my eyes simply a more warship then a science-cruiser. The whole idea was, to put an aircraft carrier like the real Enterprise in space. The saucer(rim)was also inspired by the Star Destroyer from Star Wars. And by the way, this is not the first Enterprise ! Her older Sister is badass
2066? That will put me at 96. Yeah...I'll probably be dead... From a design POV, I would center the top bridge dome exactly over the bottom primary hull dome. That's the way all of them have been (that have top & bottom domes, anyway) and gives the design a certain symmetry. Pushing the bridge forward like that, to me, makes it look a little off. I would also slant and widen the nacelle pylons just a little bit. Not quite as pronounced as the refit, but not straight up-and-down like the original, either. Since you seem to be going for an intermediary design between TOS and TMP (more like a "Phase II" look), a slightly slanted pair of pylons should work nicely. Other than that, I'm liking it, particularly that mid-section in the primary hull. Definitely like it better than the JJPrise.

Then I´ll keep my fingers crossed for you and hope that you´ll also stay healthy. In 2066 I´d be 93, which I havent much hope for - but who knows. @BenjiRaine Very nice design, I like it But I´d also go with the centered bridge and the slightly angled nacelle pylons.
thanks for all the comments everybody. So after a few days work, i redesigned some parts of the Enterprise. Not as a replacement of my first design, more like a older USS Enterprise, a 1701 after the NX01 but before the original NCC 1701 from the classical series. Maybe this is Captain Robert April´s Enterprise from the Comic "Countdown to Darkness"
