Thanks for the reminder of the season debut! I had to put it back in the dvr schedule. I may need to watch a few of the last episodes in their marathon, just to remind myself of what was going on.

Right. That's why Nathan went to the boat, because he thought Duke had her, right?

I'll definitely have to catch up on Friday before the premiere.

Same here. I can't really remember everything that happened in the finale.

Maybe they should air an actual recap episode. Not one of those clip shows that leave out all the stuff you need to know, but a "here's what you REALLY need to know." It would be good for people who were willing to start watching.

    That's a pretty good idea.

They could put it on instead of wrestling. :D

"Pretty good idea"? That means they won't do it. This IS Skiffy.

Of course not. They're more likely to run more wrestling. :rommie:

Well, I haven't gotten to the season premiere yet, but I did watch the last three episodes from Season 2. It was very helpful.

I had forgotten a lot about Duke's father and his "mission", including him saying that Audrey killed him when she was Lucy.

I also forgot that Audrey was tasered when she was kidnapped. Very unlikely Duke would do that.

Anyway, I have to leave today for a week-long business trip, so I won't be able to watch the premiere until the weekend. Until then, enjoy!

All I can say is that it was a seriously weird season opener. Not quite sure what to make of it.

That was pretty "far out" even by Haven standards.

    Tonight, Episode 3:02 Stay

"Audrey and Nathan investigate the animal instincts of dangerous strangers arriving in town."

I'm finally coming home today from a week-long business trip, so I've got a lot of catching up to do!

I'm only a casual watcher, so maybe this has been explained, but--

Nathan has no tactile sense whatsoever except when he's in contact with Audrey? How does he live? Aside from the fact that he'd cut and bruise himself on a regular basis, how could he possibly drive when he can't tell how much pressure he's putting on the gas pedal? Or more importantly, the brake.

And I wouldn't trust him with a handgun. If you can't tell whether your finger is on the trigger without looking at it... if you can't tell how much pressure you're putting on the trigger until it goes off... that's just scary.

Let's be honest here -- this show isn't exactly one to delve into things with great detail, or even any detail in many cases. Every episode is like 3 minutes of mythology and 40 minutes of poorly written nonsense with the "trouble of the week."

Seeing as how Nathan gives and takes in fights just like any other person, I just assume he can feel and apply pressure just like anyone else, just no sensation of feeling other than with Audrey.

That's a good way to rationalize it, but, yeah, basically it's not addressed-- it's just not that kind of a show.

So I watched the first two episodes last night.

The UFO one was pretty good. I'm very curious to see who is after Audrey. The whole "Colorado Kid" thing...I had completely forgotten!

The dog one was okay. The scene where he's apologizing to the man/dog in the woods was sort of unintentionally funny.

Anyway, as I was watching last night, my 9 year old son wandered in. He doesn't watch the show but has picked up bits here and there just from it being on. He asked me about Duke, specifically, if Duke was "troubled". I told him in a way, yes. I explained his curse/burden/trouble whatever you want to call it is that he can cure the troubles in an entire family forever, but he has to kill one of them to do it. I told him this was quite a tough thing to bear.

So my son sat there for a second, and then said "He could just kill someone in his own family, and then he'd be cured, right?"

I don't know if Duke has any living relatives, but I thought that was pretty damn smart, for a 9 year old.

Yeah, but it'd be a bitch if someone lied about paternity or was a hidden adoption. Dead person, no cure. Duke'd feel awful.

BTW, am I the only one who thinks Eric Balfour (the actor playing Duke) looks like Flynn from the animated film "Tangled"?
